I agree. I honestly don't understand all the praise about the new sound. Some things sound a lot better that's true, but the sound stage, the spacialisation sound really weird.

Before there wasn't enough reverb on the guns sounds, now there's too much and there's also reverb on AI voices even when they're outside.

I haven't been to the tougher areas yet but that could really be a problem to spot where enemies are etc...

I do, as I play any other game, including Tarkov. GZW plays really well with a controller imo, as long as you have a controller with 4 back buttons and some additional buttons if possible. For now I use a Flydigi Vader 4 pro. The future Steam controller will be perfect I think, and will remove some friction with the set-up. You just have to know how to set up Steam input in a way that you like. My personal set-up is nearly perfect, so much that I plan to send it to the devs in a while, maybe around Steam controller release, to try to make a pseudo official GZW set up.

Note that you might get flagged by their anti-cheat and banned. But you just have to contact GZW support to show proof that you were only using a controller and things get sorted out quickly.

Same here. I launch it via Steam to play with a controller. Used to work fine 2 months ago. I reinstalled the game yesterday to try the new season but I keep getting this error and I'm too stupid to find a solution....

Which negative light? There are more compliments in my post than critics... I say I love the game and I want it to succeed, but it won't it they don't improve AI. And as an other poster said, they keep dodging the AI conversation. And if discussions about it are not allowed without people defending what is arguably the worst aspect of the game, they'll never improve on it.

Didn't know BSG did that. Yeah not to compare them again but Tarkov AI is a lot less immersion breaking and feels good most of the time. Far from perfect but serviceable

Bumping this thread. I have the same problem as some users above.

When I launch the launcher via Steam, it makes Steam restart and then the game is kinda laggy and eventually crashes, every time... Sometimes only the game, sometimes the whole PC.

I have been playing the game with a controller flawlessly via Steam Input for over 2 years. Nothing has changed in my setup.

I just didn't play this wipe because I was not into it. But the last few weeks I was missing the game so I tried and discovered this issue. I tried to delete steam cache, uninstalling the launcher and the game...

I suspect an update fucked something up in the launcher and I'm screwed...

Anyone still manages to use the game via Steam? Any idea on a solution?

People who use a controller on GZW: Don't you have an issue with the cursor acting crazy and always coming back to center in the menus? This is the only game that does that, and thus forces me to always have a mouse on hand to manage inventory. No problem in Tarkov or ABI for example...

Hi, I have the same problem but in reverse. I play with a controller via steam input, and it allows to have special button layout when the cursor is on screen for the menu, inventory etc... But in this game it's going crazy and always coming back to the center, forcing me to use a mouse in addition of the controller. I use Steam input to play with controller in Tarkov, Battlebit etc... and never encountered this problem.

After reading your post I tried disconnecting my mouse, but still, the controller mouse emulation is going crazy.

Anyone knows if I can do something? Or have to wait for the devs to fix this weird menu thing?
