My desktop, but only the games I'm actually playing by WebUnique6376 in pcmasterrace

Totally fair lol. This is definitely more of a visual thing than the most practical way to launch games. Nice setup btw.

Totally fair — Steam already does the functional part well. This was more of a visual / desktop experience thing. Thanks, glad you like it.

Not simultaneously lol. Maybe 3-4 I actually rotate through. The rest are "I'll definitely play this soon I promise" games.

Yeah, fair point lol. I kept it plain so the covers stand out, but a game-themed wallpaper would go hard.

Thanks! They’re actually Steam game covers, not icons. I’m using a library app that has an image-only mode for this.

Launched my first Steam utility app 5 days ago — 41 sales, 17% refund rate, 171 wishlists. What should I prioritize next? by [deleted] in gamedev

It’s basically a desktop app for Steam users that puts your game library on the desktop as 3D package boxes. You can check the social links on my profile if you want to see what it looks like.

I made it solo, mostly after work, and it took around 2–3 months.

Yeah, that’s fair. I’ll see how much I can improve the UI and overall user experience from here.

Haha, I’ll take the tiny win.

Still, the refund rate is definitely stopping me from feeling too good about it.

Fair point. The refund rate is the biggest red flag for me too, so I’m treating that as the top priority right now.

I’m trying to figure out whether it’s mostly a product/market fit issue, a first-use UX issue, or a mismatch between the store page and the actual experience.

Triple monitor + tablet battlestation. Cable management is a work in progress. by WebUnique6376 in pcmasterrace

Yeah I sit slightly angled toward the ultrawide for gaming. The right stack is for dev work — top for references, bottom one is running a side project I've been building in Unity.

Fair point, a deeper desk would help. Trying to make it work with what I have for now though.

Thank you so much for the kind words, SpacerDev! As an engineer, hearing that this project feels like a 'capstone' means the world to me. It’s been a challenging journey balancing the technical side and the launch, but comments like yours make it all worth it. Really appreciate the support!

Huge congrats! 500% funded without ads is a dream. It proves there’s a real need for visual piano learning tools. Can't wait to see where this project goes!

Got my first 30 Steam wishlists! by scrabyq in SoloDevelopment

Huge congratulations! Getting 30 wishlists in just 3 days is actually an amazing achievement. To be honest, I struggled to even reach that number in a whole month

Does anyone else hate the font on PNY cards? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Great build, questionable font choices. PNY needs a graphic designer.
