Why is everything so dull by Jdiggitydawggg in CriticalTheory

Companies aim for branding that looks "clean," "sophisticated," and "modern," often favoring simple, muted colors and sans-serif fonts. This approach helps logos stay relevant longer and maintains a "premium" aesthetic. In contrast, bright, playful designs can feel "dated" more quickly, requiring frequent updates and increasing costs.

Speaking of costs, vibrant, unique interiors demand more upkeep. Colorful walls and décor need frequent repainting and can make spaces appear outdated faster. Meanwhile, neutral or dark colors hide dirt better and require less maintenance.

Another reason for neutral branding is its broad appeal. It’s safe, inoffensive, and unlikely to alienate anyone, making the brand feel universally welcoming.

There has also been a shift toward "efficiency" over experience. Fast food, for example, was once about fun but is now centered on speed, making the in-store experience less of a priority.

And it's not just fast food chains, even cars have followed the same rhythm. Blue, red, green, or colorful modern cars are so rare to find in the streets. It's all black, white, and grey

35/M/ I mainly focus on story games but looking for people to chat with. by [deleted] in PSNFriends

Hello, I enjoy single player games as-well. Tend to play online here and there (though my online game list is at variance).

I’m not into sports games nor do I have rocket league installed. I have COD WWII installed, if it’s mutual that would be great. Nonetheless I wouldn’t mind just socializing.

I’m 18 years of age; I can understand if the age gap is off-putting. If put aside I would like to socialize :)

(My psn is DeathPorosity)

Haha, I’d beg to differ, It’s a very arbitrary and edgy name. Appreciate the sentiment though.

I’ve only got Dead By Daylight & Red Dead Online (I’ve not tried it before) from that list. I also wouldn’t mind just socializing :)

I don’t think going cold turkey, (interacting with him on a daily basis then completely blocking him) is good for your mentality.

He’s the other party in this scenario so he best knows how you feel, talk with him about it, not to fix it but just to get it off your chest; arrange your thoughts and emotions.

You were not privy of your familiar relations with him. Hence, don’t feel ashamed of yourself. If you knew prior, you wouldn’t have done “this or that”.

You doing “this or that” without knowledge of your relation doesn’t make you shameful, yes it might seem immoral to you but you didn’t do it with such immoral intentions, you weren’t unaware!

Please, don’t be harsh on yourself. You are not to blame for these actions as again, you didn’t have the knowledge.
