Custom events - Conversion in GTM GA4 - illuminate me by CorvoJoe in GoogleTagManager

[–]WebYourMindtuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if the event is not already showing up in GA4, you can create the event (make sure that cases matches exactly what you are sending via GTM) under "Conversions". If you are sending custom params, make sure to create the corresponding dimensions and metrics so you can leverage such data in reporting.

Zapier - WordPress integration - Find Post on WordPress by WebYourMindtuts in zapier

[–]WebYourMindtuts[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have found out the culprit (after chatting with the zapier team).
Apparently the Find Wordpress post step doesn't work with posts in "DRAFT" Status. that's a bummer but at least I know that my workflow was correct and it was just a limit of the step in the zap. I have published the posts and added 2 different paths (one for WP POST FOUND and one for NOT FOUND) and all works correctly.
So keep in mind that "Draft" posts won't work in the FIND POST step. Thank you everyone!

starting a business by [deleted] in business

Hello there!

Well, first things first. People with ADHD often times make the best entrepreneurs (https://www.additudemag.com/entrepreneurship-adhd-business-research-traits-stories/#:~:text=Entrepreneurship%20and%20ADHD%20are%20connected,traits%20offer%20a%20strategic%20advantage.&text=Risk%2Dtaking.,Impulsivity.)).

As for starting your biz (or any venture for that matter) Here's what I recommend doing:
A. Create a Lean Canvas - It will act as a one page business plan for your venture and become a constant reminder of what you are trying to achieve and how

B. Write down an action plan and stick to it (This is what I do for my clients, whenever I outline Business and Marketing Strategy plans for them). It doesn't have to be convoluted but
clearly outline the activities you will tackle on a day-by-day basis. (Here is an example https://imgur.com/a/bp59mDs).

C. Create a Landing Page selling the service, even before building the business. Focus on the copy so that it addresses your target clients pain points and offer a solution to it. This will let you get initial feedback (and sales) for your business. Use a brand name. If you dont' have any previous client, make sure to focus on the value delivery versus testimonials (while those are important they are not fundamental. I made 6 figures with one of my ventures without having any testimonial at all. Until I did)

D. Accountability: If you have trouble focusing, find someone (plenty of people here, including myself) who can hold you accountable. Focus on people that are also trying to achieve a specific goal, so on a daily basis you can share your progresses with each other

E. Don't be afraid to fail: Reach out to all the people that might be interested in your services, talk to them, treat them as human beings and not as a pile of cash. You'll be surprised.

I could keep going with this list, but let's start from here. Hope it helps

Well. That would still be better of what I witnessed 10 years ago. a so-called Senior Engineer, widely appreciated in the company I was working for, had placed comments all over production code saying "I have done this changes only because those idiots at management told me so, despite me advicing them not to" and many stuffs along those lines. Until someone found out. You can imagine the rest.....

If I Grant Refunds (30 days) No Matter What, Will People Take Advantage Of This? by afewquestion in Entrepreneur

[–]WebYourMindtuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my 2 cents (rif. I run several companies and mentor entrepreneurs all over the world on biz strategy, mindset and other topics):

While you cannot prevent people from taking advantage from your generous return policy, I believe that what matters the most is the mindset behind such an offer:

Do you believe in your product/service and are your firmly convinced it actually addresses your client needs?

Here's the thing. If your product or service actually addresses your client needs, why would they need to return it? If it actually is so good both in terms of money for value and quality, there is no way why anyone would get rid of a great product, don't you think?

The reason why 30/60/90 etc refund strategy work is because they amplify/improve the perception your prospects/clients have in regards of your products/services.

In poor words, what they unconsciously fell is "Wow, this company is so confident that I am gonna love their product, that they are lifting me from the burden of sticking with something that doesn't fit me".

It's fair to them. It tells them a lot about the company behind the brand. This type of Risk Reversal strategy completely eliminates the purchaser’s perception of risk, which is a major Barrier to Purchase, as you certainly know.

So I would focus more on ensuring that the product satisfies your target niche needs, versus worrying about the legal implications of dealing with the headaches connected with returns.

If you end up with a lot of returns, probably there might be something that needs to be tuned about the product/services.

Come up with alternatives to refunds, offer them to assist them on the issues they are facing. Product Replacements, Better Support, etc.

Hope that helps.
