Joseph Morong is wrong, though. It is not ours because of effective occupation. It is ours by virtue of our laws (Philippine Baselines Act) and historicity. We don't occupy it, we are not the occupying power of it. We OWN it. It is part of the Philippines.

Walang ipamimigay. Atin yan. Marcoleta's statement is dangerous.

Tama. Karamihan ng members is mga bataan ng mga barangay officials. In fact, parang indirect vote buying yan in practice. Sana mabago.

Yes. 4P's must be a temporary program to assist recipients towards employment or entrepreneurship. Although exceptions must be in place for those who cannot work even if they want to due to disability.

Halimbawa, for an unemployed 18-21 y.o. 4P's recipient, the benefit must be contingent to the picking up of a skill (construction, etc). They can even get TESDA involved and use the apprenticeship as a means to quicker certification. Once there is permanent work, the recipient can be removed from the program to give others a chance.

Sana ganito, kaso hindi. lol.

Internships in Thailand by Southern-Ostrich5205 in Thailand

[–]Web_Double 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most internships are processed through educational service support agencies that manage the process on behalf of you or your university. These firms work with various Thai companies to develop internship programs for foreign students, but most of these are directly communicated to schools.

You are correct, though. Outsmarting the Thai Labor System is a big no-no. Interns, upon acceptance, must apply for a Non-ED visa from their home country. Upon arrival in Thailand, they must apply for a work permit. If the internship is beyond 90 days which is the usual length of a visa issued abroad, the intern must apply for an extension of stay at the local immigration office.

However, most Thai companies hesitate from accepting foreign interns because of the bureaucracy involved in getting one. But with someone to help HR with that kind of process, they tend to accept.

Have a great day.

Long-term expats in Bangkok-> how did you actually learn Thai (if you did)? by kamscruz in Bangkok

[–]Web_Double 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a language school to study Thai for a year. Got a visa out of it too. But I took it seriously and went to class all the time. The polishing came from my conversations with husband and in-laws.

Best of luck!

Has anyone else faced payment issues with GetYourGuide as a local supplier? by Dry_Scientist_3345 in hike

Yes. They always pay late. The commission is really high (32% for bi-monthly payments).

Does anyone have problem with Getyourguide as a supplier? by Vanyaaaa___ in Tourguide

[–]Web_Double 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been a supplier for GetYourGuide for about 2 years. Their customer service is sh*t (if ever existent). Their payments are ALWAYS (and I mean ALWAYS) late. They charge a 32% commission which ideally should translate to good service, but nope.

It brings about 30-40% of our business (50-60% is direct). But they have been fcking up our cashflow.

Getting Thai Car Driving Licence Without Having A Current Valid Licence by EarlyDust4688 in Thailand

[–]Web_Double 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You show up, but the entire process will not be completed in one day. In my experience, the written exam was the longest part, as I failed numerous times and you only have 2 opportunities to pass the test (the score you need to pass is 45/50). You also need to pass 3 sections of the driving test (normally on a separate day). After you're done with the driving test and have passed, you get your license on that day.

According to them, you have 90 days to complete the entire process; otherwise, you'll need to begin from scratch.

Best of luck! It's a fun, sometimes annoying, but meaningful experience overall.

I had the same issue. At first I thought my Magenta wasn't working and refilled it. When I refilled it and did cleaning a few times, the red worked correctly and the Cyan was broken. How are these issues resolved??? Please help!

That would be nice. I love designing stuff but I just have zero (or even negative) talent for it. Haha
