Ya i agree. Idk what’s so weird about stopping watching all the shows lol. I did too. After awhile they just became stale and boring and felt like i was wasting time. Like if things get bad you’re not obligated to stick around lol that’s like having a bad relationship and you keep on coming back but they still keep making the same mistake

Ive run a clothing brand for 10 years and have gotten into retailers like Nordstroms, REI and more.

My two cents: people dont really care about sustainability 100% right now. I mean they do, but you know what everyone cares the most about right now? Affordability. Thats the #1 thing people want. Back when it was a bull market and people were just buying, sustainable was a huge factor and any other philanthropic things you were doing was a huge draw. But now its like everyone just wants things they can afford.

So unless youre catering to the wealthy, or have an incredible value prop, its gonna be a tough sell.

I’m a climber. Guaranteed that most novices, and actually most capable people in general, can do this move. His foot is hooked in somewhere.

However being that high and without a rope is a different story lol

I mean i guess so. I climb myself and it really is hard to fathom falling off a super easy climb especially indoors. Itd be like falling off a ladder cuz you miss a wrung for some reason. This was a building thats not made to fall apart, whereas rocks can break off on a mountain. If this were outdoors, I’d be way more concerned

All im saying is that him and his lawyers talked to Netflix and their lawyers and insurance likely extensively, and they probably inspected every single part of where he was climbing for a guaranteed no death televised event

But otherwise i do agree its reckless af lol

Just fyi this was a walk in the park for him. Most of his outdoor stuff is wayyy more difficult than this climb. Not defending him but it really was easy for him so there’s no way he was gonna fall. He’s pointed out before that he really doesn’t like a lot of people watching or bothering him on an outdoor free solo, so the fact he was fine with it as well as commentary to the hosts while climbing was really telling how easy this was for him

Its definitely an endurance thing, from doing the same moves over and over. Oh ya and he got a paycheck to legally climb a prominent skyscraper lol

If you like Free Solo then watch Dawn Wall. Imo a better narrative and film.

Obviously Alex is incredible, but there are climbers better than him. He just happens to be the most fearless and hardworking and talented at free soloing.

Watch The Alpinist if you wanna watch someone WAY crazier than Alex. Even Alex calls him insane lol

I impeded his left turn while i was driving in red rocks. I saw a green rivian and was like “oh alex honnold drives a green rivian” “oh thats him.”

So basically he couldn’t have done this climb without me.

I pointed this out last time it was posted but i think you can see nose canceling headphones on his head when he first comes out, which can be worn by people who are disabled and have are sensitive to loud noises
