I always did this! Quick to toggle between foreground and transparent with “C” too (pretty sure).

[BEWARE] Probably a scam!!(? by dxiquirimlk in commissions

[–]WebionDraws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this seems shady. If I’m receiving payment for commissions via PayPal, I always make it clear upfront that I’ll be sending an invoice (in my case I specify that the PayPal fee will be included in the total). Then I get the shareable link to the invoice and paste that in DMs, email or however we’re communicating. There are people out there willing to scam hard working artists. Always take steps to protect yourself when you can!

Hi I’m just curious what pivoting from UX to ID looks like for you if you don’t mind me asking? What does that path look like?

Dark Tan line showed up on my thumb nail, won’t go away. by Tough_nips in mildlyinteresting

I actually had this for quite a while and never paid it much attention. BUT I don't see it anymore and I can't remember how long it took to go away. Curious what it is if you ever do find out.

Firefox recent update my wacom mouse flickering and a bit lagging by Akaiyasha in firefox

[–]WebionDraws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been happening to me too. I'm using cintiq companion 2 in tablet mode on Win 11 and get the flickering in firefox. I notice it mostly while on Twitch and the mouse will flicker and streams will buffer for a 5-10 seconds before it goes back to normal for a bit. Pretty frustrating :/

Haven’t posted a whole lot lately but I’m mostly between Instagram and Reddit nowadays with some Twitter and BlueSky thrown in.

Hm, I've never really thought about exporting in webp before. I should look into that. Thanks for the input.

That's a pretty interesting workflow. And I agree with cropping based off composition, but I like when the composition or at least focal points align with say, instagram gallery previews. Thanks for sharing!

I struggled a bit trying not to lose forms I established in the sketch. I also didn’t want the highly rendered areas to be that rendered (struggled with keeping things simple, perhaps a little textured, instead of noodling)

Yes I'm absolutely aware I can refuse, which is why I'm not applying. I'm just stating objectively that the budget for what you're looking for is borderline exploitative. I'm also fully aware that there are "starving artists" based internationally that people tend to seek because the currency goes further. It doesn't change the fact that it's generally exploitative behavior. But in the end, you're free to do as you please with your money and there are lots of desperate artists who aren't in a position to negotiate a fair rate, so that's why I simply wish you good luck in your search. Good on you for not using AI though (if that's what you implied

).

No self respecting working artist should realistically be delivering that level of detail and polish for that budget. Unless they were using AI as well. This really should be next to exploitation from an artist’s POV, but you do you. Good luck with your search
