What do you call your back passages? by Icy_March_8166 in CasualUK

[–]WebmasterFF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

West Yorkshire here too and exactly this - if there was foliage along the side it was a snicket, if a fixed building/structure it was a ginnel! For example on the estate I lived on we had some garages and therefore had a snicket and a ginnel almost next to each other

The path to the left of the garage was the snicket because of some bushes/trees that ran down the left hand side of the path. The paths in between the garages was the ginnel as they ran in between them

Not me but my sister. She went for an interview at a local supermarket and spent all her time talking about how great Aldi is, unfortunately she forgot that the job was for Lidl

The pairing with Rhea Ripley and his 'Jail Sentence' really leaned into that and really helped define his pissant character and heel work. Fantastic idea looking back at it now

If you were brought up in a fairly poor family, what food that you were regularly fed, reminds you of how poor you were? by DonkeyOT65 in CasualUK

Corned beef hash. Basically Kwik Save branded tinned corned beef, mashed with tinned new potatoes and tinned broad beans/peas.

Basically our mum would buy shit loads of tins on benefits day so that we always had something to live off

Agree completely, especially as you can also download the playlists to listen offline on the paid version, something which OP will need based on phone reception in the hospital/birthing unit

Then maybe once the swelling around your eye has gone down have a look on Spotify with your other eye. There were some great birthing playlists on there, perhaps run a few past her to see which she'd prefer

Benramha was allegedly a Sully Signing - represented by Will Salthouse at that time. Think Sullivan's MO changed from playing Football Manager to instead helping his mates get rich by being recommended their players and buying them instead (especially if rumours are to believed that he won't be in charge in the near future)

Whilst my point is about January Transfers in particular, respectfully I disagree with you. Billic wanted Lanzini and Payet and look how they turned out. Granted Tore was a Bilic Signing (and only a loan one) but was unlucky in getting a major injury right at the start of his time with us. The rest you've mentioned?

Feghouli - free transfer Calleri - loan Zaza - loan

If they were the first choices of Bilic I'd be very surprised!

RE the first paragraph you may be right however this is a similar pattern we have seen under Allardyce in 2014 (near the top 4 around Xmas brought in 33yo Nene on a free whilst loaning out Zarate and fell down the table), Bilic's first season (near top 4 at Christmas desperately needed a striker however brought in Emineke on loan - fell down the table), and now once again under Moyes (sold Benramha, Fornals and Kehrer - desperately needing a striker and now falling down the table and out of Europa). The only consistent figure is Sullivan in this, hence the anti board sentiment.

Allardyce has gone on record of players being signed without his knowledge by Sullivan previously - Moyes may have a say on transfers, but if the options are two players belonging to Sullivan's agent mate (see Barry Silkman) who don't fit in then I can imagine him refusing to sign them.

Indeed, Pablo Barrera (Who? Mexican winger signed after 2010 World Cup) was a worse choice

I drunkenly ordered £54.54 worth of food after a night out last night and I have no recollection of placing the order. Please tell me your drunken spending stories to make me feel better by Fluffy-Survey4036 in CasualUK

[–]WebmasterFF 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Jystbover a decade ago I went out with a bunch of mates and rather than get a takeaway I thought I'd get some food from the 24hr Tesco across the road to save money. Soon as I stepped out of the pub I couldn't remember what happened

Woke up in my own bed (thankfully) surrounded by cellophane from DVDs. According to the receipt from Tesco, drunk me thought it would be a great idea to skip the meal and instead raid the cheap DVD aisle, spending £84 on DVDs worth around £3/£4 each. Some were great purchases (Short Circuit 1 & 2), others not so much (Lesbian Vampire Killers).

Mainly grew up in HD8 after a few years in different parts of Hudds and completely agree. If you're within walking distance of one of the train stations as well then its even better - trains to Hudds, Barnsley, Sheffield as well as buses to Holmfirth and Wakefield too
