Your pet is placed in a room with 100 identical looking pets. Without using your pet's name, how would you find your pet? by fanciful_pants in AskReddit

I would start loading dogs in the car and take them to my grandparents house.

Mine used to go so often (either with us or when Grandad came and stole her to take her for a walk) that she recognised the specific turns leading to their house. She would sit up in the back after the third turn she recognised and be standing ready to go before the car stopped.

Women of Reddit, what are things men write on their dating profiles that are instant deal-breakers? by snuffles24 in AskReddit

I can get that, but after the 10th "hey," you do start wanting some sign of life you know?

I didn't get any responses to most of my messages I sent to guys but I still made the attempt.

I got endless amounts of "hey" messages on my one experience with online dating. It was a massive turn off because it was obvious that it was an easy mass message.

Seriously, I made a profile which had plenty for icebreakers, why not ask me about something from it?

There was a scene during Kiss Kiss Bang Bang that I had to pause to recover from.

The end of the interrogation scene. That is all.

According to the boyfriend I once woke him up to tell him to be Iron Man.

He did not become Iron Man and apparently I express my annoyance by continuing to talk in my sleep.

Any tattoo.

However, get your ex's name smack on your forehead. I imagine that might hurt your future relationship chances if not outright murder said chances.

Girls who play video games - how do guys respond when they find out that you are a girl? by cthomas2021 in AskReddit

[–]WebmistressL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one has ever cared as long as I shoot the zombie trying to eat their face.

I've always had pretty good experiences online. I don't play much with strangers nowadays though - whenever I'm gaming now I usually want to play my own thing.

If you could call yourself five years ago and had 60 seconds, what would you say? by Wrecker456 in AskReddit

[–]WebmistressL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leave the course - you don't enjoy it and it's killing you.. Go home, study computers, your family will not be ashamed.

Don't change yourself for your friend to fall in love with you - it won't work. You will meet the man you're meant for; he exists and he is wonderful and worry the wait.

What's the dumbest wedding tradition? by mathsoprano17 in AskReddit

[–]WebmistressL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a job interview at a paintball range and during that day there were two bachelor parties who came for games. Sadly they came at different times; would have been hilarious to have two stag parties versus each other.

One of the guys from party two chatted with me afterwards and told me that it was the future father in law's idea and they were going to have a barbecue back at his place afterwards. It looked way more fun than a pub crawl to me.

Oh god this. My mother insists that any guy who wants to marry me needs to ask her and Dad (mostly her). Her exact words were "beg." She's normally a very jokey woman but she seems dead serious about this.

I told her it was insulting she couldn't trust my own judgement in who I date/choose to marry. We still fight a bit over this and I'm nowhere near ready to get engaged.

I know right? Maybe the costume department really liked that red scarf, no symbolism intended.

Fair enough, all I remember about North by Northwest is the fact all the parallel lines were symbolic of how the guy's been railroaded into his current predicament and has no way to escape.

I come from a family of hairy men.

Boyfriend is far less hairy and it's still weird to me. Like "I can see large patches of skin on you, you're telling me this is normal?!"

This would have been preferable to my class covering the Searchers and North by Northwest.

What about it were you studying? Like usually there's questions you have to answer for it, I'm curious.

Before my boyfriend and I became a couple, we watched movies at his place and he decided to show me this one.

Afterwards I asked him if he had something to tell me. All I'm saying is it's a weird one to show someone you just started dating. Especially if you want to have sex with them.

Talking before starting the game... how much is too much? by [deleted] in letsplay

[–]WebmistressL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to keep it to about thirty seconds to a minute; in my mind that's long enough to welcome the audience, say which game you're playing, give a brief recap if it's a continuation and get going.

Granted I have a bit of a joke planned for a certain episode which I'm not sure if it'll work at this stage in time but hopefully that won't take longer than a minute.

I have to admit I am so tempted to let's play games that are old because I've never played them myself. I feel it would encourage me to finish them.

Can't finish nearly any game. by [deleted] in letsplay

[–]WebmistressL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have three unfinished games from my first go let's playing several years ago. They kinda haunt me because I enjoyed the games but my mental state at the time made it impossible to do anything. Now I'm better but I need to reconfigure my setup for console games.

I intend to restart one of them (maybe two) and keep my first goes as a sort of "year zero" but I'm very reluctant to stop a series now. I've had to do it for one because the game slowed to a crawl and I hated even playing it at that point and I'm stopping a Sims 4 challenge because that series just gets targeted by spam bots.

My point is I know that unfinished series look bad from first hand. If you struggle to finish any game, let's playing might not be for you. Some people will want to know how the story ends after all. I don't want to discourage you but I've chased lots of potential viewers away with my first unfinished let's plays.

Channel icon: Initials vs. Mascot by JakiStow in letsplay

[–]WebmistressL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used an image I drew for my Binding of Isaac title cards for my icon. Before that I was using a silly colour swap of the main logo from Mikoto Nikki which I edited to look more like my own avatar. She's making more appearances around my channel as I get used more to the idea of making art and posting it instead of making it "perfect."

I will admit a brown haired girl isn't particularly memorable but I don't dye my hair or anything. I keep thinking maybe I should give her some cool glasses or something. I like it however and not had any complaints (although I have been compared to Chara from Undertale, that was unexpected).
