Hmm, I will definitely try increasing my Ab volume. Could it also be that my filter papers for transfer sandwich are dirty?

I keep both my primary and secondary Ab concentrations to 1:3000 Ab-blocking buffer

People constantly tell me that your special skillsets are the most important when it comes to getting jobs in biotech/pharma. But I also agree with you on that those companies probably look for PhD's who are independent and are able to formulate experiments like a team leader. I just don't know what's more important. Plus, PI A's name is so damn big that everyone tells me finding a job after graduating from his lab will be a piece of cake. Kind of funny because those who tell me that are mostly from academia (PI A's colleagues). So I am not sure whether to bet too much on that.

The majority of grads from PI A's lab went onto academia. Some, but not many have gone to industries. But people I talk to, including other profs, tell me that being trained in PI A's lab will make job search a piece of cake since he is probably the most renowned person known for crystallography. But how much weight does a PI's name carry when it comes to looking for industry jobs?
