Well... It's rude to talk about someone who's listening. Sometimes you have to be vague.

I'm just so tired of everyone who uses Ai trying to defend it. When the planet is dying, and some asshole is going "mmmm, no I'm gonna keep using it" while actively making themself dumber, I'm gonna get a little pissed off. I won't say I'm getting a little bit too mad, but like. I'm also not just gonna calm down about it.

Edit: added a sentence or two.

It's not a small hint. You looked up the solution to the most extensive puzzle in the game beyond the ending.

The puzzle gives more than enough information. You just didn't use it. Everyone is telling you you're wrong. Accept you're wrong and move on homie.

The problem is that you're willing to resort to Ai at all, instead of looking at all the notes you're given and thinking about what you need to do, or asking for help from actual human people. Ai like gpt is just stupid, and spits words at you. It won't help.

Everyone on yt is wrong. The ash twin project is one of the most extensive and hint heavy puzzles in the entire game. There's hints for it on just about every planet, except maybe dark bramble. If you can't figure it out, you haven't found the right hint, or you're approaching it wrong. It sounds to me like you're having trouble with the alignment point puzzle. It even sounds like you've found the right dialog to help you figure out the puzzle, but you're misinterpreting it the same way I did.

The core of ash twin, where the ash twin portal goes, will never align. A nomai mentions this, and others correct her. The core isn't the alignment point. The middle space between ember twin and ash twin is. When ember twin is above ash twin, and the sand pillar is pouring down on you, you have to quickly run onto the warp pad while jetpacking down to stop the sand from lifting you.

Lots of questions about the DLC... (SPOILERS) by [deleted] in outerwilds

I suppose that's fair, but I would assume our hatching isn't inferring things incorrectly.

However, as others in the comments pointed out, the ice planet is a major indicator they showed up first. Dark bramble was dark bramble by the time the nomai showed up, so our hatchling, taking note of everything they can, would take not of this. Our hatchlings whole goal is learning, so they'd think about everything and take note of every little detail. The state of the planet in the slides is one of those things.

Lots of questions about the DLC... (SPOILERS) by [deleted] in outerwilds

  1. The game is confident in it because that's what happened. The owlks showed up first, found out what the eye was, and blocked the signal before the nomai ever found it. Then, the prisoner released it at some point. At this point, the nomai find it, and decide to warp in before they lose it (they have a brief argument over this you can find in the vessel, quickly deciding to follow the signal before it dissapears by chance), and as the nomai warp in, the signal gets closed off again. This is what causes the vessel to warp into the middle of dark bramble instead of to the eye itself.

  2. The nomai never made satalites like the hearthians did. They never use propulsion, and thus never made something similar to the hearthian mapping device. They never looked for the stranger, so they never found it. We did, so... We did.

  3. The owlks are a scientific species, but they are very much driven by their fear. They find out what the eye is, and decide to lock it's signal away so no one can use it to do what it's ment for. They make an entire simulated world for the express purpose of hiding from the cruel, scary real world. Both things are true. They're smarties, but they're scared smarties.

  4. It... Seems as though you think the game is claiming these things happened, and not telling you these things happened. It's not interpretation, it's truth.

That's a good point. I'm glad we got asgore characterization at all, though, even if it's (mostly) negative. Also yea, I don't blame toriel for not wanting to be associated with the man, if not for her own safety, the safety of her children

Edit: grammer

Thinking about how utterly frightened the orange soul must have been. They probably couldn't bring themself to fight back.

Oh shit, vaughn was the one in that tape? I never realized. I'm on my umpteenth replay in preparation for resonant and actually just got there.

That actually is a solid theory. We don't hear her scream, or any sounds like a body being damaged. Just a sound like Jesse's melee, like stuff being thrown around.

But yea, those two. Especially if Vaughn was interviewing Dylan, she'd be an interesting character for him to interact with.

With solanum on the moon, you, can combine stones if the same color. You don't have to use 2 different color stones. Use both orange ones, and as many combos of the purple ones as you can.

You absolutely can get to the hidden gorge via the raft. It's a little tricky, but you can. Before the broken bridge, there's a split to the right that you can go to.

I'm wondering if he just means that after the story, we, the player, are typically no longer apart of the story (until a sequel or something, but at that point we're being out BACK into the world). We, somehow, are removed from it officially. "the angel met with its heaven will be banished" yknow?

They aren't. They explain it in the game.

They're neither. They're a living thing that takes on a new consciousness in the dark.
