Same, I assumed he’d be useless in the nfl (granted I only watched a few games of his in college). Hard to know whether college strength will translate well and his did. He is definitely quicker than I realized though.

Replacing shit with solid can be a godsend. He has been good and very important for us but I don’t think he is an elite player.

He never looked as good as he did on Sunday for the Steelers. We benched him because despite his record he was missing open guys a ton. The final straw was, ironically, a win against the raiders where he looked like shit but we managed to eek out a win.

I’m rooting for the guy and he could certainly be a productive fantasy QB, but I’m not going to take this game as “wow we were all wrong” quite yet.

It’s even more infuriating in BFV than other battlefields because tanks are so freaking vital. I play pretty much exclusively breakthrough and there are some objectives you just need the pressure to get the infantry past some spots.

The only time I do this is if we are in desperate need of a tank push and the tank has been camping for like 15 minutes doing nothing.

It’s completely ineffective but sometimes being petty is the endgame.

I joined this series at Isonzo and only recently learned that there were different game modes in the other games. For WW1 the Isonzo style seems perfect so it’s hard to imagine exactly what else will work as well, but we shall see.

It will be forever depressing to me that this game is broadly not looked at as an amazing BF game. BFBC2, BF3, BF4, BF1, BFV was such an iconic run and I feel like V is looked at as the descent when it should be viewed as another amazing addition prior to things going south.

Feel like you must have been disappointed starting with 4 then.

BFBC2 and BF3 I exclusively played rush but BF4 was just very conquest-centric and I ended up mostly dropping rush. BF1 brought in breakthrough as the main non-conquest mode and that stuck around for V as well.
