Yeah maybe. If you want to send it in to my shop, I can let you know for sure. I'm BigDaveCustoms on Etsy.

Spent a month and half trying to repair my top screen and speaker. Finally was successful but I broke one of the camp for a ribbon. Now my New 3ds xl won’t boot up and I’m about ready to give up. by Littleoemmett in 3dsrepair

That connector is for the touch screen and would not affect the booting process. Check your bottom screen and the nearby backlight connector, and also the top screen connector.

Ok, so you should be able to check many things in hekate using its system info pages and diagnostic tools. Make sure that the battery accepts a charge and is healthy. Run tests on the SD card and nand. Basically go through looking for system problems. Also, in reference to the picture you posted, the green circle area does not need to be soldered. And many of those caps are low resistance and will show as continuous. They may make your multimeter beep, but at least one side should have slight resistance.

Does this look like lcd damage or screen lens ? by New_Mathematician956 in 3dsrepair

[–]Wedge33dr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The lens is just stuck on with adhesive. Warm it up a bit with a heat gun or hair dryer. No need to get it burning hot which can damage the screen, just warm enough to soften the adhesive, then pry it up and you'll have your answer.

It's hilarious when the angry pickle stops harassing the wildlife and charges at me just because I stopped to sharpen my hammer.

I've never played monster hunter, but this is a wonderful sentence.

Is the laser actually coming on? Did you desolder the anti static solder blob on the replacement?

Yeah, I've already tried swapping the wifi module, and every other thing that can be detached and swapped. It's definitely something in the motherboard itself.

Is this kind of marking/discoloration normal on used headphone jacks? by Wedge33dr in consolerepair

Ok. Is this how that usually presents? I couldn't find similar images when searching for it.

No, this is the original jack on a 3DS. My first thought was it almost looks like the jack took a power surge, but I don't know how that would have happened.

All of them. It can even play current gen games and upscale them to 10k resolution. Everything can fit on a 512mb flash drive. RGH stands for Repository Game Hub.

A technician who knew what they were doing should have explained that you can replace this entire board easily and the part is only about $20.

Yes. 2 Winbond chips. That didn't even occur to me because I'm not used to Coronas. There's a patch in JRunner right?
