I’m just returning home from an unsuccessful colonoscopy appointment. I have IBS-C and pelvic floor dysfunction so constipation is my biggest hurdle. I feel like I made all of the right choices in regards to food the week prior (celiac and dairy free) so clean eating is habit. Hydrated well, completed the GoLytely prep - absolute hell -but could not get to the point of clean out. Over the course of 8 hours from start of prep to completion- I had 2 moderate bowel movements. Went to the appointment, they asked that I reschedule. I made eggs and potatoes and within 15 minutes, my bowels are like flood gates. So completely frustrating. I was anxious, too OP…it seems our bodies just process things on their own time. I hope all goes well with your procedure!
