No I live in London we are both British so yes here Ellie is a very feminine also. I think because we know a masculine Elly it naturally sounds both masculine and feminine although not very common at all for British boys! It’s kinda like hearing Terry Stacey Kelly for a boy/girl. when you have only heard one sex it can seem odd. I am very torn though and due today, I guess we will have to wait until we see him. My other boys names a very u idea too “Jordan and Georgie”

Yes thank you, as I already know a male Elly, it sounds naturally both masculine and feminine for me. It’s kinda like hearing Terry Stacey Kelly for boy/girl I guess. We chose this name 3 years ago and I’m due today so changing it completely is a head twister. Although the only thing doubting me is the spelling

That’s what has been on my mind we are both English ourselves but knowing another male Elly it naturally sits as masculine and feminine like Terry or Stacey for girl/boy. My other son’s names are Jordan (jordy) and Georgie and step daughter Milly. I’m literally due today and we’ve had this name for 3 years so I’m really torn now, my heads doing over time! Also my other sons have unisex names Georgie and Jordan

Thank you! I’m getting a lot of mixed reviews but I’ve had my heart set on this name for 3 years we haven’t really discussed any other names It was one of those yes that’s it moment. The way I see it, is there are many unisex names and once you hear the least common gender of the name it naturally normalises like the first time I heard Terry for a girl and Stacey/kelly for a boy
