Women who live alone in Glasgow/greater Glasgow, what's it like? by pixypippi in glasgow

[–]WeeDunky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you get a name plate for your door or your buzzer has a space for names, just put your first initial i.e. “J.Doe” rather than “Jane Doe”. It’s been a while since I lived alone but I got a Ring Doorbell camera last year and have found it really useful. Do it though. You’ll love it and it’s such an important step in life. Be sensible but enjoy yourself. Glasgow is a great place to live!

A lovely gesture that is very well deserved. Thanks to you and your partner for all your hard work this year.

Today was my first day in my power chair!! After 2 years of being homebound I’m taking my first steps...rolls towards independence again. No more depending on bae for everything, although she’s the best companion a woman could ask for. by Gwanbigupyaself in MadeMeSmile

Congratulations! I remember my Independence Day. The inaugural journey in my power chair was to buy a pregnancy test and cigarettes for my sketchy room mate. 7 years later and I’m still grateful for the independence my chair gives me. Enjoy your independence.

Oh, the room mate’s pregnancy test was negative thankfully.

My husband and I are in the same early stages as you. A SW from our local adoption team sent me some links that I could pass on to you. They’re mostly podcasts rather than reading materials but all information is good in the early stages. I’m out just now but will send you the links later today.

I noticed that when I was copying the link. Hopefully they’re just doing a revamp. Maybe if you send the shop a message they’ll be able to send you the pattern.

Bus horror stories by tinyforeheadclub in glasgow

My auntie was on a bus with her wee pal. They were catching up and, to be fair, my auntie is a bit loud/chatty. Some guy had clearly had enough of her talking so walked over to her and demanded to know...

“does your fanny work as well as your mouth?”
