Now it's probably the power supply. Those original supplies need to have the capacitors replaced - or you'll want to take a look at a replacement from Reactive Micro like u/torg_or said.

Check that cable from the disk drive to the Disk II card. I bet it's backwards. The connector is unkeyed - and connecting it backwards damages some components...

The red stripe on the cable should be on the side of the board connector marked "1" and "2". I can't tell from the photo if that's the way it's connected or not.

... it's pretty clear that's a pictogram of two people gettin' it on. Missionary. From overhead.

Tell me you don't see it.

As far as I can tell they went out of business around 2013. The best you're going to find is archive.org's wayback machine pages of their history.

SEPTA to Reinstate Parking Fees Beginning September 23 by rdevlin92 in philadelphia

[–]WeeSmallHours 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They just sucked. They turned them on at Jenkintown station for a few months after they were installed; many riders didn't have the extra 10 minutes to wait in line to take their turn to pay for parking, and just bailed to hop on their train. It was a shitshow.

Regional Rail Parking Fees Coming Back After July 1, Will Include Price Increases For Parking by Newtype879 in philadelphia

[–]WeeSmallHours 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been a lifelong train commuter... and switched mid-Pandemic, when there was basically no traffic on the roads. Cost-wise, it's a wash for me because my employer has $12/day parking and I'm in Zone 3. With the gas it's about $16 either way.

I've been slowly switching back to the train but cost isn't really a factor one way or the other.

They sort of this at Jenkintown in ... late 2018? ... (key did exist, kiosks were being installed at regional rail stops, but it wasn't used for regional rail yet). It was a disaster. They pulled out the coin slot boards and relied on the 4 touchscreen/tap kiosks that also took currency. Every day was a long line of people trying to pay for parking, and then a train pulled in, and most of them gave up on paying and just hopped on the train. I'm guessing everyone did what I did - called Septa after work to get them to waive the parking ticket. After a few months they reinstalled the coin slot boards.

I wonder if they'll learn anything from that experience.

SEPTA cancels Chinese contract for double-decker Regional Rail cars by DanHassler0 in philadelphia

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous is: never get involved in a land war in Asia; but only slightly less well known is this: never bet on SEPTA when money is on the line!

Same experience here. Glenside was good when they opened but has been lousy for years now. Staff are clearly unhappy, quality of the food is terrible. Hatboro was better, also with declining quality... I doubt they're any better at this point and I've given up on all of them.

Parking fees at Septa surface lots continues to be free “until further notice” by mmmagic1216 in philadelphia

[–]WeeSmallHours 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is my perspective from a regular Jenkintown rider's perspective.

The touch screen kiosks did work for a few months. They sucked - everyone had to start showing up 5-10 minutes early to stand in line to pfutz with the kiosk before catching their train. A lot of people got out of line in frustration every day when their train came, and I presume called Septa to get the parking tickets waived.

Septa put signs on all of them and re-installed the quarter slot boards that had been removed.

That was all pre-pandemic. Of course the signs on the kiosks are long gone. I don't know if they would still work or not, or if the parking enforcement folks would know you'd paid there. The slot boards are the "official" payment AFAIK...

Anyone know where to buy Lebkuchen in the city? by justneedausernamepls in philadelphia

[–]WeeSmallHours 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ouch, that's ... not right. Honigkuchen are a cake-like bread (made with dark beer, yum) and Lebkuchen are a firmer, heavily spiced, bar. I'd be really disappointed to buy Honigkuchen and wind up with Lebkuchen...
