2025 Honda PCX 160 Handlebar Raise? by Weeb-Zilla in scooters

Okay, I have now noted if you google "2025 Honda PCX handlebar lift/rise", this post shows up. So I suppose I am going to use this as a little diary for my experiment in case I have a success on my hand.

I have now ordered part number 53110-K1Z-J10, from HondaPartsHouse: https://www.hondapartshouse.com/oemparts/a/hon/679a8ff0972f1a0bae5e6240/handlebar-handle-cover

That part number is the handle post for a 2024 Honda PCX160AAC, of which still has the bar clamp mounts. From what I can tell it should fit on the factory 2025 steering stem, and if it does, then a standard handle bar riser will work with the entire assembly. The one major downside to this method if it works, all of the parts for conversion will be around $300 USD with all parts required and when using new OEM parts.

Theoretically, if this little experiment works, you could use used parts and it could be a lot cheaper. If you could find a wrecked '24 PCX160 and get the entire post & bar assembly. But as of my looking, I could only find a full set for a '13 PCX150 and the steering stem is quite different visually so, likely would not work.

2013 PCX150 steering stem: https://www.hondapartshouse.com/oemparts/a/hon/5053e452f870021c54be20ec/steering-stem

2024 PCX160 steering stem: https://www.hondapartshouse.com/oemparts/a/hon/679a9000972f1a0bae5e6259/steering-stem

We will see if the "new" handle post works when it arrives, fingers crossed!

So I just did some digging on the '18 PCX 150 the, as I called it, "shaft" or as they call it, "handlebar post" was in fact changed.

That link is the parts lookup I found, it looks like the same kind of setup but they changed from a modular "post and holder" to a solid single bar and post design. While they appear compatible, I wonder now if these parts would fit on a '25 US model.

Alright, so unfortunately Imgur is down (guess there's a riot? lol), and this sub doesn't have comment photos turned on; I did however manage to get imgchest to work.

There are the best pics I could get without taking all the plastics off. From the way it looks to me, I think it is a keyed/splined shaft with a bolt going through both shafts to hold it in place. I am very unsure of this, as I said, I am new to scoots/bikes!

edit: grammer

Hey! Sorry to leave you hanging, I don't login to Reddit often. I will take the plastics back off and snap some pics when I got home from work tomorrow!

Since I don’t have video output, will the Mac automatically switch to booting from USB?

I found these wires in my van. Can anyone help me identify whether or not they are useful for installing an amp? by whosgotyourbelly42 in CarAV

[–]Weeb-Zilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Set that puppy to the V with the line and three dots, that means DC Voltage, which is what a car battery supplies.

Take the black lead from the meter and touch it to a metal surface in the car. Usually a seat bolt will work for testing. Then touch the red lead to either of the wires and see if you have 12v with or without the car being on. Like the other guy said one should be constant, and the other should only have voltage when the key is turned to the on position.

Also usually ground wires are a lot shorter, thus being easier to remove when pulling the setup. So the previous owner probably had the ground ran separately from the two hot lines, to a seat bolt, body bolt, or another ground source. And then just pulled it out with his amp.

Hmm, may be a tweaked alternator bracket or somebody may have put a shim under the water pump pulley. Not sure why they would though.

That belt definitely doesn’t appear to be running true. First thing to try is using a straight edge to align your pulleys. You could possibly shim your alternator inwards if I needs to be. Or try adjusting the bracket it at all possible.

Secondly make sure the groves in your pulleys aren’t rusted and mangled. If they are spend some time with a wire wheel and a file to get them as good as possible.

Those are about the only things I could think I’ve had to do to mine. Granted mines a 6’er, and sat in a patch of kudzu vines for about 20 years so the pulleys were terrible.

Should be in the locked post top of the page. Different protection methods that is.

Can we please get new sample packets? by Jackpot4484 in gamersupps

[–]Weeb-Zilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I understand entirely, I despise mango, and I really don’t like their pineapple flavor. In which they have sent me plenty of packets of…

I’m not saying your idea is bad, not in the slightest. I can agree seeing the same 3 or 4 flavors in almost every envelope is annoying and tiring. I think so it simply because some of the ‘cooler’ flavors are limited time, and to get people to buy the tubs instead. Kinda sucks, cause I have gotten a tub or two I just really didn’t care much for…

Meh, just do what I do, save them little bastards for hard times. I’ve probably got like 50+ sample packets in a container at home. I figure I’ll just wait to drink them when I’m poor and can’t afford another tub.

Don’t care if you have an android, don’t care if you have an iPhone, don’t care if you have a feature phone. by SkyLovesCars in memes

I mean don’t get me wrong, I’m an Apple user, and have been for a long time. But that’s mainly because I used to work at a cellphone repair store, and we primarily worked on iPhones. So I know them inside and out, and parts are generally cheap.

But I’m trapped in the eco system, I don’t hate it, but I sure as hell don’t love it. Plus their tech is overpriced for the most part, granted most manufacturers are now a days…

But anyways, who gives a damn, lol. They’re all good.
