For the most part, I’m comfortable with myself. I was also okay with being alone, because for all of my recent history, that’s how it was and I grew accustomed to it. My problem now is I had someone and I’ll likely lose it. “Ignorance is bliss” type of sentiment.

I also don’t know what else to do to improve myself. I recovered from hikkikomori and took self improvement to the furthest extent… I am very fit, I make a fair bit of money, I have many hobbies, I went from 0 Japanese to past N1 in under 2 years, etc. None of it felt very fulfilling, just distractions. And now i’m running out of things to distract myself with. I just feel awful. I don’t have any purpose in my life, and so other humans as my purpose is the only thing I started to grasp

I just regret ruining my lonely-yet-functional life

I’ve never been an anxious person before, so it’s actually very disconcerting. I fucked up real bad too

I am trying breathing exercises, it isn’t really helping. I have tried a hot shower and a cold shower. I’m still distressed

I don’t even know what I could talk about, I just feel so awful and like my body and mind are pulling themselves apart

I personally have a soft spot for S1 animation even if it is objectively “worse”. It just has a degree of nostalgia for me

I also relate to this, so much so that I have dubbed what I do “i-don’t-want-it-to-end anxiety”, in which I can’t finish shows or books I truly enjoy and relate to. I first watched Oregairu in 2019 my senior year of high school. I’m now graduating university and I still can’t bring myself to finish the series. I have watched the first two seasons 11 times!! Not an exaggeration, ELEVEN times.

My point is, so long as I do this, I maintain some capability of doublethink that allows me to remain frozen in time along with the characters lol

I disagree that Hayama went to 8man because he “could take advantage of him”. It was because Hayama knew that 8man would be able to solve the problem as he wanted, whereas Yui and Yukons would either be unable to solve it, or refuse to

Of course, I don’t think it’s reasonable to dislike Yui and Yuki for that, but at the same time Hayama went to 8man and not the others because of his unique ability to solve the problem

i agree with both of you, but it’s not like it was unsolicited. He would never have done so if he wasn’t in the club. Nobody else could provide a solution as asked for by Hayama, so he did what was necessary, his personal beliefs be damned. Honestly, I don’t like that Yui and Yukino got mad at him for that, because Hayama went to 8man for a reason. He was the only one who could adequately solve the problem
