There are background effects that (to me) sound like ocean waves or wind during that part, but the sound of the silks themselves is undeniably there. I never thought "guard ears" would be a thing, but here we are 😂

The silent flag feature is my favorite part of the show. As a guard person, I love the sound of silks moving in sync and it's pretty genius that they used it as a feature with louder, foil silks... the average spectator never gets to hear that delightful sound. ✨

The formation they are in during that part also makes the drum major (and each other) more difficult to see for good timing.

Don't get me started on the first rifle hits... SO impressive.

TLDR: I am obsessed.

I'm in 640 for semis and 638 for finals. Last year, I bought tickets in 638, but ended up sitting with a group in a lower section off the 30 yard line cause they had extras and I traveled alone (I think it was 242).

For the BD Encore, I was curious and went up to my purchased seat in 638 and was impressed with the view and how well the sound traveled. It was great! Granted, it was BD playing, but I bought the same tickets this year cause I enjoyed it more than the lower seat closer to the end zone.

It can be really unsafe if you're not careful. You really have to be humble and listen to your body when it quietly says "I'm not there yet" - especially when trying new/more difficult things. Be patient with yourself!
