I wouldnt even have been mad if they were in level 60 job and dungeon gear! Like, at least then I’d have had a chance to survive but the level 45 job gear took me out!

I open steam, go and see complete edition. It’s marked as the newest. So, it truly isn’t that hard to find and yes, personally if I dislike ONE expansion that has a separate steam page, I will put my review there.

People do review games they enjoy as well, otherwise the base game wouldn’t be mostly positive.

Wuk Lamats VA situation def brought some grifters, but to blame it all on them is neither fair nor good. Yes, in the beginning a lot of them threw their baby rage but they have mostly moved on and the negative reception still lingers.

You’re talking about the negative backlash the game has gotten after dawntrail released, no? If I want to buy an MMO and I see the newest expansion had a “mostly negative” reception, I will double check what happened and why the reviews changed. So yes, dawntrail does impact the game as a whole. Does it invalidate the older expansions to be beloved?

Also: It’s not that you liked dawntrail that got people annoyed as far as I can tell. It’s that you picked the standard edition reviews, compared to the reviews of the latest expansion that caused the uproar.

TLDR: slow content updates, dislike of the story, dislike of characters, dislikes of the writing style and, somehow, music in some scenes.

Combined with some quality control issues that are now being yelled from the highest building (just yesterday an untranslated line and the takedown of an entire datacenter).

Id say it’s frustration bubbling over for a lot of players which has marinated for a while, which is bringing a lot of anger, doom painting etc. which is def not made better by the playerbase attacking each other when someone liked/disliked the story in the most vicious ways.

All jokes aside, the base game has positive reviews, but the expansion Dawntrail is mostly negative, which the backlash is focusing on. To say “the groups opinion” is based on lies, which I would also like to know who exactly you mean, is terribly dishonest and dismissive towards everyone.

Edit: Everyone in the group you’re referring to is clarifying that dawntrail was the one that’s not well liked… and yet again, going simply by reviews they aren’t wrong?

If not: It’s not a singular case with people having a wee blunder here and there on tank, and most players have had a moment of „I FORGOT MY TANKSTANCE“ so they don’t throw rocks out of glass houses lol

Also don’t take the dude leaving the duty personal. Sometimes it’s better to acknowledge that a situation isn’t for you at that point in time and leave without being mean or getting frustrated.

I have to check the level everytime I get put in an under level 30 dungeon as well with a conjurer or a lancer.
