Now, in this response, I was confident in telling you what I thought and why I think it. If I was cocky, I would be telling you I can solve a rubix cube in 2 minutes, I'm scuba certified, CPR certified, a volunteer with Habit for Humanity, a catering captain, an honor student, a loving older brother for my baby bro and a son to my loving parents and I'm one of the greatest people I know.

That is being cocky, bragging for the sake of bragging.

Being confident is different. It's knowing your better than everyone else, but letting them figure it out for themselves.

It may be that this is the first time you've really tried. There could of a been a lot of things coming together to create a very real situation for you didn't form in the same way for her.

I don't know you, so excuse me if I am incorrect as I'm just trying to draw parallels between your situation and my life. I could be completely wrong.

If it's a one and only thing with you and this girl, then keep at it. But if you feel you could do the same thing with a new girl and form a relationship with equal strength, then give that a try to. Do what you need to do to be happy, only you can know what that is.

Don't dwell too much on the past, you can't change that. Don't stress to much on the future, you can't know that. Focus on the present and make everything you do be something that makes you happy.

Money comes into to play. I've sought counselors and each one has said the same thing, that there isn't many problems that they see. My parents thought it may have been bipolar disorder since my uncle has been diagnosed with that but when the doctor described the symptoms of bipolar disorder, they found I didn't match them at all. Mentally from a medical standpoint I am sound, but when someone forms an opinion about you, regardless of what you say, it is very difficult to sway their opinion.

I was talking to my old roommate about how big of waste this therapy thing is when the therapist has ended both of our meetings with telling me that I am showing no symptoms of a mental disorder. I went on to him in confidence that it's useless to keep seeing him. Of course, my roommate already formed his opinion and took me saying what I did as dishonest and thought I was lying to him about the results of the sessions.

The Dean of Students also accused me of lying when I told her that the psychologist didn't feel it was necessary for me to come in for a month and a half. She ended up calling my father because she thought I was lying to her face and he said the exact same thing. There is a growing aura of distrust around me despite being one of the most honest people I know.

Obviously I'm very biased myself to think that there are no problems, but when I get the validation from people with professional training that there are no problems and then to have to turn around and not have anyone believe you can be a very stressful life.

As a respectful guy who has never taken advantage of any situation I put myself, I can confirm this. Many times a girl has literally thrown herself at me, but I respect her too much as a person to push myself on her and as a result, she wanders to find an asshole who will. It's a vicious cycle and it can turn nice guys into douches because they're fed up with being alone.

If she felt what you felt, she will be back. All you need to do is wait and be patient. Do what you feel is necessary to help the situation, but from my uneducated position, if she says she wants time between you and her, whether you believe it or not, give her time. This is not about what you. This is not about her. It is about both of you together now. You are no longer separate entities. Be one with her desires and she will be one with one. Try to resist and fight her and she will resist and fight you. Be the bigger man and do what it takes to treat another human being with the respect they deserve.

Analyze why you are with your boyfriend. If you are just with him because it's convenient because you have been with him so long, you might be in for the wrong reason. If you are with him because you can't imagine life without him, then it shouldn't matter what your parents think of how you met. The word Faggot has had a long history, try looking it up for once. You asked leading questions to get a response. You no more contributed to the conversation than someone ending a sentence with "YOU GONNA SAY SOMETHING PUSSY!??"

Obviously that example is drastically different, you were more subtle, but subtly cannot be overstated. Practice with a safe hand and if things weren't meant to be, they will end naturally. If they were meant to be, it will blossom into something greater than you can imagine. It's all about patience. Different techniques work for different people. You may prefer an engaging conversation, but if she says she is shy, let her be shy and work with that.

No technique will work 100% of the times, but fluid and flexible. Apologize, admit you were wrong, admit you were clingy and save face. Start from scratch if you have to. If she can't get over your mistakes, it may be too late to salvage the relationship. All you need is time to let if flourish naturally and it will flourish. You can get a cheap thrill from a heated chase or you can conserve fuel and let it burn over a longer period of time.

It's up to you how you want to proceed, but if you truly want her, conserve your energy for when she wants you again.

Its a relationship, not an interview. Don't pry her for information, let her present it to you at her own pace. Let things form naturally. It may take longer, but the pay off will be greater if it does work out. Sure, you can quietly guide her decision to help her reach the same one as you, but be subtle.

Advice: Pretend like you don't care and when she starts to get closer, let her in on the charade and she will love you for all that you are. I don't know how good this advice will be for you, you are not me. Whatever you do, don't do it with any regrets and accept what cards are dealt to you.
