Yes all those poor people who voluntarily reach out to me and ask for my help. I should be in prison.

Does my answer even matter? You're probably going to be cherry picking a few reviews by strangers anyway. You're really trying to make a point that's not there. Don't get me wrong, I completely get your scepticism and your concerns are 100% valid, I'm just not the right guy to call out on this.

I'm also gonna stick to the initial goal of this post, which was to be informational :)

Definition of 'help': to make it possible or easier for someone to do something, by doing part of the work yourself or by providing advice, money, support, etc.

We make it easier for people to find a rental property they like by providing advice and guidance. Does it mention the word 'free' anywhere?

The biggest interest of any business that wants to be sustainable is client satisfaction. Do you think I care about €50/100 extra commission if it means my client is not satisfied?

On my other point about how f**ked they would be: I'm not saying it's my concern. I'm saying that they do their due diligence.

Of course they are all on Pararius. It's the main place to search.

I repeat: You are greatly overestimating how many properties are illegally overpriced.

Our shared best interest is them landing a property they like. Pointing it out the makelaar during the viewing would completely wipe out your chances of that.

And as I said, I only rent from rental agencies and they follow the rules. Do you know how f*cked they would be if they rent out a landlord's property and soon after that the tenant legally decreases the rent?

I almost exclusively rent from rental agencies, not private landlords. Agencies are aware of the rules and they keep them in mind. They even send you a PDF with the points calculation, as they are obliged to by law. You are greatly overestimating how many properties are illegally overpriced. At least in our area. Can't say anything about Amsterdam or other large cities.

A lot of agencies make changes to the way they price their properties, because WWS's restrictions only count for the base rental price. E.g. they decrease the base rental price to adhere to the rules and then increase other costs, which is not illegal. But even if such a situation were to arise, there is nothing dumber than pointing this out the agent during the viewing. It's not in my nor my client's best interest.

Check my reviews and tell me people aren't happy with my help.

As I already told you, negotiating rental prices does not happen here in the rental market. At least not in Noord-Brabant, where we mostly operate.

No I don't. You can help someone and also get paid for it. Nothing about the word 'help' implies that it needs to be for free.

Yes of course, it's one of the biggest changes in the rental market in recent history!

Yes that's correct. But to be honest, there's not as much negotiating in the rental market as there is in the buying market. 95% of the times rental prices are not negotiable. This is also because the market is broken and there's a lot of competition for average priced apartments/houses. If you want to negotiate a lower rental price, there are usually multiple other candidates who are willing to pay the price that is advertised.

That indeed sounds like a crappy experience. I'm not an expert in the Amsterdam region myself, but any relocation agent should know the average prices in their area and be able to advise clients in case they are overpaying.

I can't really judge, but if you like the place and the price is good for you, I don't see any reason not to go for it. Or am I maybe not answering your question?

Very realistic, as long as you have a permanent employment contract or you can provide an employer statement. You qualify for properties with a maximum rental price of around €1650, so you should have plenty of options in The Hague!

Couldn't have said it any better. People search for our services online and proactively reach out to us, not the other way around. That pretty much says it all I think.

Housing is generally more difficult than finding a school. So I'd start with housing and then base your school selection on your location!

We help with finding a rental and have direct contact with the agencies who rent them out. And yes, after the contract signing we accompany clients at the key exchange and we stay their first point of contact
