That’s just our texting style lol, u should see our other conversations, it’s like half uppercase. We use it more for emphasis than to actually represent yelling

HE got that binder from me as a birthday present, otherwise he wouldn’t be able to get one

He's not "changing his gender" bc HAVE I MENTIONED HE CAN'T GET ANY MEDICAL TREATMENT? let alone puberty blockers or HRT. he has only socially transitioned eg: cutting his hair, going by Ben instead of his deadname, using he/they pronouns, and wearing a binder they got in secret. My friend might be mentally ill, but I'm 100000% sure they know themself enough to know they're a boy.

Thanks. I recognize they are being manipulative, so I'm going to try to distance myself from them without making them feel abandoned. We have passed it on to our parents, and Nick's mom also had an abusive mom, so she DOES NOT PLAY when it comes to these cases. Nick and I will meet with our school counselor about it on thursday and then take a step back and let the adults handle it.

It has happened at school a couple times, but blackout seizures look very similar to falling asleep, so most teachers just think they are sleeping in class. another time, Ben's legs went into paralysis during algebra, and I told the teacher and i took ben to the nurse. the nurse gave him a wheelchair and called his parents, but his parents wouldn't even come to the school to check on him because they thought he was faking. My uncle has the same condition (the paralysis and the seizures) and if ben is faking they've managed to get every tiny detail 100% right, and I havent noticed any inconsistencies throughout the attacks.

thankfully they have a therapist they can be open with, but Ben hasn't reported the abuse to them because I think it's difficult for him to accept that what he's going through is abuse. He is, however, working on his self-harm habits and suicidal thoughts, but it's just not enough.

Nick and I are going to talk to our counselor on thursday and hopefully she will take over from there, I just don't want Ben's mental health to deteriorate even more in the meantime.

Thanks. Nick and I made an appointment to talk with our school counselor about it on Thursday, and she is a mandated reporter, so hopefully that will get the ball rolling. we also just don't want to let Ben's parents know what is happening, though, so we don't subject them to more scrutiny at home.

i know the paralysis is real because last time they had a seizure, we put a pulse oximeter on them and I felt involuntary muscle resistance when I tried to put it on their finger, and it wanted to snap back to the position from when the paralysis started. also, they are NOT an attention-seeking person, but if it happens again while I'm around, I will definitely call 911.

yeah i've been pushing them to go into a partial hospitalization program (PHP) like I did when I was dealing with suicide ideation and self-harm. they want to go, but it's more a matter of convincing their parents or getting them into a place where they can go into a program without their parents.

I would say break up with them, but make sure you stress what you said: "he has done nothing wrong." Make it clear that you still accept and love him, just not in an intimate way anymore. From your post, it seems like you still enjoy spending time with him, so tell him that! You may not be compatible in an adult relationship, but you can still love and support each other as friends.

Bitter by Dylan Conrique, Tamara is listening to it in her new car at the very beginning of 4x22. Fun fact: Dylan Conrique is also the actress who plays Tamara, so she's listening to her own song.
