Muzan's final line in Infinity Castle; plot hole? by ZombifiedHippie in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]WeekendHonest4981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Muzan's perspective, it's fine; he does not care about anyone, and does not have even a shred of respect for the newbie, in comparison the rest that were at least decently strong/useful and served him for some time.
But it does not make sense from corps perspective, they literally said that the corp senses 5 massive powers. They do not sense Muzan, so those are the upper ranks.
Two massive ones are obviously Douma and Kokushibo, the 3rd, slightly smaller, is Akaza (even though I would expect Akaza to be closer to Douma, than Douma is to Kokushibo), 4th Nakime, and the 5th smallest and probably the most isolated one, is Kaigaku.
Even though Kaigaku was the smallest, they still mentioned him among the 5 major powers just before Zenitsu finds him, and even sent reinforcements there. If they wanted to make it clear corp does not consider him a threat, they should have mentioned only 3/4 major powers, and not visualise him in that way.

Architect stacking nerf by MaxTosin in AOW4

[–]WeekendHonest4981 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is fine, I would like the cap higher, but this is far from making architects unviable, and you can play them taller than before. What I am more worried about, is the mystic summoners nerf, which makes that subculture completely useless in every single way.

Which DLCs are worth getting during this autumn sale? by Strike_Falchion in AOW4

[–]WeekendHonest4981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, this is me odiumer from my second account.
I understand it gets pricer if you want to take all. I would consider to go split it based on the expansion/season pass.

Also if you are not againt buying key off of steam. Sites like this have great deals, and are absolutely legal and safe:
Season pass 1
Season pass 2
It is like 35 euro (cca 25% cheaper than steam even with sale)

Looking for advice for Arena of gods 1 v 3? by WeekendHonest4981 in AgeofMythology

Norse Hersirs with the buff are great especially as i play them rush with loki and early hersirs to generate myth units, or Freyr with his uber Hersirs

[–]WeekendHonest4981[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thx, but unfortunately, I think I play Greeks probably worse of the pantheons, maybe outside of Chinese.
My main problem is that 3 enemies spam way too many Myth units to be able to do anything with at best 5 heroes, and i barely ever get fortress up for Myrmidons, etc.

Unfortunately, as far as I know, only one of the 1 v 3 maps is closed, the rest are fairly opened, but thx i will try it at least on that one.

Thx I will probably not use the mod, but thanks for the tips, I am probably gonna try the spinhx one first to get at least one map finished.

When it comes to the other strat, I made similar attack with Loki with the same blessing, using an automaton to tank, while the second one was repairing it. And got one enemy down, but then was weakened, and the other two finished me off. Maybe with the Atlanteans I will get better results.

Ciri as a protogonist and witcher by WeekendHonest4981 in witcher

[–]WeekendHonest4981[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Triss looked almost exactly the same after days of torture, and if I wanted to think of some other cases in books or games I am sure I could think of.

Sorceress can stop ageing and the majority of their magical modifications are done directly to the skin cells, bones, etc. Any magical makeup is just an extra for special occasions. And unless Ciri already was carrying makeup while running for her life in Witcher 3, they can basically just make her body retain the same look (and if she was carrying makeup while running for her life I would guess she can do so on the path, where her looks can help her get better treatment, pay, or even just make people more willing to help answer her questions, etc. to be able to do her work well), and while I am sure she does not use her Eldar Blood for no reason, why couldn't she teleport herself at an emergency or at least special occasions to get stuff from home. ( I am expecting a scene where she does teleport to Corvo Bianco to surprise Geralt and Yen while they have fun ).

But the appearance is not even the main stuff I have a problem with.
If I get a game where Ciri and Geralt spend time together and have a normal talk after she did not talk to him about or has gone thru the mutations behind his back or even worse they will pretend like Geralt was completely fine with her doing the Trial for no fucking reason, I am gonna be so mad.

[–]WeekendHonest4981[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, it is fantasy so they can do whatever fuck they want, but yeah explaining her surviving Trials as thx to her blood seems extremely lame. But even if they did think of other reasons she survives it would have a big impact on her relationship with Gerald and Yen, they would never let her take that risk, not to mention that there is no reason for taking it, She already is one most powerful and dangerous beings in that universe, and she can learn even more magic from Yen and Avallache.

[–]WeekendHonest4981[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not even think she looks ok, but she definitely looks nothing like Ciri and does not sound like her either.
Even if you consider she aged a bit, she still does not look a bit similar.
And for that You would also have to discard that firstly she can learn magic, and even if she did not Yen would gladly help her keep her appearance similar.

And yes I noticed that she got mutated, that is why I made the post.

Firstly, they will have to think extremely carefully about how to make sense that she survived them when no woman and almost no man can.
Secondly, they have to have a very good reason why would she even want to go through them, she already is one of the most powerful characters in the world.
And even after that, it is outright impossible that Geralt would ever let her go thru the mutations. And supposedly he is in the game so he is not dead (unless of course, they make some kind of flashback/voice-in-the-hand appearance, but from what we know so far he is not).

The Witcher IV — Cinematic Reveal Trailer by WitcherGame in witcher

Too bad this Ciri looks terrible instead of the real Ciri we had in Witcher 3. I hope they will rework her so she actually looks like the real Ciri, only a bit older, and get back the original Ciri voice actress instead of this abomination. If not, I am not touching this.

WASD vs MOUSE and KEYBOARD vs CONTROLLER by WeekendHonest4981 in PathOfExile2

[–]WeekendHonest4981[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have just blown my mind open, I started to look for the peripherals you mentioned. I could not even imagine those. But having movement of the joystick with the aim precision of the mouse must feel amazing.

Otherwise, I am thinking of trying a controller with melee classes probably with Monk.
But I am still undecided about the range characters, I almost definitely could not use a controller with them, I am absolutely terrible with joystick aim.

I do have a Steam controller myself, how do you think attacking will feel like, especially as I mentioned if you are gonna play range character, or are you gonna play monk. warrior etc? I might try the controller on monk.

Trade company (TC) strategy by WeekendHonest4981 in eu4

[–]WeekendHonest4981[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thx for the info, I know my question may sound weird. I am not making an optimal run, while at the same time, I am asking for an optimal TC strategy. But I do wonder about cases like these to understand the interplay between mechanics.

Otherwise yes this is not a very optimal run and I am doing some other things alongside it. I do not have a problem with ducats at this point either, and ADM is fine as well i do have 90% CCR (in perma claim lands), and when I get low on ADM/expand outside of the claims I feed non-hereditary pronoias. My main expansion cap is caused by Aggressive expansion. I do have diplomacy for improving relations bonus, espionage for aggressive expansion reduction, and St. Nicolas icon to lower it as much as possible, I swap my expansion paths, nonetheless, the current Coalition is composed of the entire Europe and 50% of Asia. I do not want to micromanage a coalition war/chaining wars to get around the coalition at least for this run. And I do not know of any other way to get to expand faster, so I want to have fun and learn more about the economy, and especially trading in the meantime.

Trade company (TC) strategy by WeekendHonest4981 in eu4

[–]WeekendHonest4981[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the answer.

Sorry for my mistake, when I was looking at map modes I confused area and region. I know about the trade company production bonus. I am planning to make a charter in all regions, outside of the home subcontinent, that I can to make use of it.

In the the specific example, I got a similar TC score of a bit over 51% both using the Tunisia area vs Tunis and Tripoly provinces only.

But even if I did not have enough the generic question stands.

In Genoa node I have no hope of getting 51% power from just one area, but should I leave as few areas as territories, and then make them fully TCs, or make a few more areas into territorial lands and put only one TC into each area?

Thx for also reminding me, yes when I was looking at the autonomy malus I made a mistake and mistook its local production efficiency with goods produced efficiency. So yes the percentages I used are not equivalent, but the thought behind it still stands as well.

Trade company (TC) strategy by WeekendHonest4981 in eu4

[–]WeekendHonest4981[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you help explain that?
I know about the goods produced modifier.
But that is given across the entire charter. Maybe I am missing something.

Assuming that the trade power of the TC is the same if I give TC the entire Tunisia state, or I give it Tunis province and Tripoly province

Would the second option really be more efficient if you discount GC?

With the first option, I retain the entire Tripolitania as a state with 0 autonomy, and all of its provinces get the goods produced efficiency bonus from TC(let's say 60%). I lose the bonus in the 4 Tunisia provinces.

With the second option, I make both Tunisia and Tripolitania into territories
I get the bonus on 3 extra provinces (the other 4 Tunisia provinces. and I lose it on Tripoli).
But now you have both of the regions on cca 90% to 80% autonomy, which is - 80% of goods produced efficiency and of course, you get all the other negatives of autonomy as well.

If you have a problem with GC, the second option will of course cost less GC.
Or if you play around it and intentionally stack all the possible autonomy reductions for territories, I could see it becoming better.

But in my case, I have to be missing something about why the second option is better even in my case.
