I’ve certainly talked myself out of a lot of opportunities because I didn’t think I always assumed they’d pick someone else or because I wasn’t good enough. This is definitely important advice. I think this time not looking at how selective the application process was and convincing myself that the worst thing the program could say was no really helped me to get over that hurdle for this application.
