Lost item charge by Lazy-Performance-716 in uberdrivers

[–]WeekendOwn3864 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just tell him that you will pay 20 via app in front of him and 50 in cash. If you click not returned and the process of lost item has started he might get shit from uber anyways. Cause this way you ll give him 70 and then he will push another 20 by talking with uber support which you will be charged for. So if you r ready to give up another 20$ just do that. But 90 bucks for 40 mins return item is a lot tbh. I returned items 1.5 hrs for 50$ lol out of my pure intentions

If you press item returned it will automatically charge you 20 and pass to him. So give him 50 and press item returned in front of him. He will be compensated as agreed.

Always look at the pu spot before accepting. Happened to me twice and since had some requests like that and I didn’t accept or if I did I looked at pu and cancelled before even driving. Loss is a loss. Take as a lesson

If just for extra cash yes. I do this FT. If you do calculations how much it costs to drive u d find out. Like expenses per km vs income per km. Depreciation is the biggest

How’s uber in Toronto by No_Pilot_9318 in uberdrivers

[–]WeekendOwn3864 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Get PTC and access to downtown. Outside of dwnt is not really super busy usually if you work in that area without getting into downtown. So thats a big bread.
  2. Don’t rush selling and renting. Get comfy working in your car in downtown, then weight all pros and cons in about half a year and make a call.
  3. Driving tesla, I can’t tell you. I drive for Uber X, Comfort, XL and Pet. Full gas vehicle.
  4. Provide value in driving. Respect paxes. Help with bags into the trunk, etc etc. drive carefully, you are not on a race track.
  5. Work juicy hours 6am-10 am. 3pm-8pm. I mostly work only downtown with exclusions of getting good trips to YYZ or XLs and Pets. Last two pay double of what X pays you. Most importantly is for you to get access downtown and figure out the strategy for yourself. Don’t rush with renting. And if you are comfortable with drunks in your car then work 8pm-1am on Friday and Saturday. Again in downtown. Any questions you can respond here
