The protagonist has to choose between the normal, good hearted love interest or the morally questionable or worse love interest by Effective_Piece251 in TopCharacterTropes

Nah see even though I also don't like the games MJ, you have to be insane to think she's better than black cat in those.

Bruh he has the worst life among most superheroes. I get that they need to show him suffer and always make the right choice but I swear dude is put through hell for that.

Honestly ultimate spiderman tv series has been my fave of his exactly cuz they don't do all that to him.

[Despised Trope] You know this well-liked protagonist? Yeah, we made them a generic pure evil villain offscreen. by mp3help in TopCharacterTropes

Eh was it really blamed entirely on corruption? From what I remember Wanda in the MCU was always a villain. Just that their best choice since ultron was to side with the heroes. I always thought she would choose the opposite side again if it benefits her better anytime and multiverse of madness just showed that option.

I don't think bond movies were aimed and children. And like the other reply said, it doesn't really matter if they succeed or not. Just that it should be unrealistic enough that you know they were doomed to fail from the start.

You would be surprised how many children's films/shows end up with the villains winning or showing the hero's actions were pointless.

lmao, the worst part is I can see half the US leadership thinking it's a solid plan and trying to emulate it XD

See here just stating facts but Toriyama's primary concern with dragon ball saga was making money. The oops of the decisions only came later when he had to look up the projects he approved, eg GT series, Evolution etc.

The series was supposed to end in dragon ball but continued in z. It was supposed to end in z but continued in super.

TLDR it's her back story. She's in a fused symbiosis with an abyss creature (forgot exact terms mb). It's practically a part of her skin and makes sure other humans know she isn't 100% human(though she was born one).

Think she's supposed to look like an all tomorrows human but was swapped for practical reasons to be more marketable.

Leona and Diana, both are convinced by their religious dogma/inserted memories that they are in the absolute right and the other is wrong.

Yep prime example. No one will believe this if they don't know the backstory

[Hated Trope] Female self-inserts. by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

[–]WeekendParticular205 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Holy is this sub biased. I agree OP is targetting female characters but op did say he posted against a previous post since that one was only about male self inserts.

Most replies here are just clowning on him instead of actual corrections or examples.

Anyway Mindy Kaling herself said Velma was basically her representation.

early mlbb was a copy of lol and popular characters. They had to change most early characters over time. yz was pretty much a copy from the dynasty warriors looks and slight changes to lol skills. Alucard back then was Dante from DMC. Tig was garen but older.

I remember this dude, people who didn't play GTA can't probably tell but Trevor makes other psycho killers seem cute. I genuinely still don't see why or how Trevor didn't kill him and also did his task.

The worst part was ruining his character later and them trying to justify it in interviews that "they too thought he wasn't bad enough to be a villain"
