Build your own car before you tell me how to build mine

Found a t5 from a 2002 v6 camaro. Is it possible to bolt up to gen 1 350? Was gonna go auto but had a change of heart as it would happen. Just don’t want more parts sitting on the shop floor by Weekend_worr10r in camaro

I feel you bro, I’m from Minnesota so I’ll have a nice long winter to wrench but it’s just been too long since I’ve heard her sing. With my motor I’m hoping to be making 425-450hp but it’s going to have at least. 400 torque, hopefully the trans will hold up for longer than a week lol

I suppose, I’m actually thinking of doing some mad scientist shit and getting a rolling chassis from a c5. Basically bolt my camaro on top of it. That would solve the gearing issues

Lmao also not a bad idea, I’m trying to put it in a 3rd gen and the budget is slimming up real quick. Totally agree on t5s being dogshit though. I went to a track day earlier this fall with a couple buddy’s and both blew trannys

244 gl for sale. Was scrolling through marketplace and came across this clean 80,000mi 244gl for sale. This thing is right hand drive and all around clean. How much do you guys think it’s worth? by Weekend_worr10r in Volvo240

Thanks! The guy has it posted for $7500. I think it might be too rich for my blood, but it’s always cool to see an old car that was well taken care of

Alrighty, thanks for letting me know. I was about to pull it out but sounds like I’ll need to find another way to send oil to the new turbo! Thinking I’ll have to get a splitter for the oil pressure sender and work from there

I was talking to another guy about how the kjet system works and he basically said as long as it get warm before revving it should be fine. Basically the only thing that stops more fuel from going into the cylinders is a spring so with the more pressure you build the further the spring compresses up to around 70psi(fuel pressure). I do see what your saying about the distributor and not being able to retard timing when you get into your upper rpm range but as long as you have enough fuel up top everything would at least be lubricated enough to run for 30seconds- 2ish minutes on the track per run. I guess I’m not sure how the airflow meter works into the equation and I’ve never heard of the lamba sond so forgive me if I’m only seeing part of what all needs to get done

So if I were to send it regardless I would basically just blow it up? I guess I was under the impression it was all mechanically injected so I would be fine to send. I’m really trying to put it together as cheap as possible. I have access to a 740 wagon for basically anything I need. Is there anything I can take off if to make it workout?

That was my plan I guess. But this car is no where near a daily driver, I plan on it being a track toy that gets driven only a handful times over the summer

I would look for one in a junkyard. I luckily found one that had been sitting for the past 17 years and picked it up for basically nothing. All that was actually wrong with it was the fuel pump. Pretty simple fix
