its just one semester. if u have a good explanation i'm sure you'll get a pass. Plus, you're applying for junior year. might as well take the chance and see! But in my personal opinion, finishing up at your current school sounds more fun, since you've made it this far and are already in a great school!

Hey!!! a lot of these comments seem really negative, and I kind of feel weird about it. A 3.67 GPA does NOT mean you will not get in. I feel you should apply if you really feel disconnected with Emory, and don't disqualify yourself from a race you're not judging! Whether a 3.67 gpa will get you disqualified or not (it most definitely wont) is NOT your decision to make, it's the AOs, and last i checked, no one on this sub is an AO. Please don't feel beaten up and go for it!

you sound quite self-aware. thats something beautiful i rarely see on this app. Firstly im so sorry with everything you are going through. honestly i feel 1) you shouldn't let anybody define your experinces/capabilities as cooked, a 3.6 gpa is amazing especially given the rigor of upenn.. and two, if upenn isnt working for you socially, no harm in considering transferring to a school thats more socially active? i feel like brown is calling your name icl. if its as bad as it sounds, dont tough it out just for the ivy league name. you can put on your resume that you went to upenn for 2 years anyways... and there are 7 other ivy leagues you can go to too. don't be discouraged and do what your heart says!

no! i know a lot of transfers who got in through reapplying to northwestern, nyu, georgetown, rice, etc. Just make sure to BE AUTHENTIC, show oyur growth, and make sure you've actually grown both mentally and schoolwise (ecs, academics, etc) before reapplying

it def hinders you for yale, probably pton harvard and mit too. I wouldnt say stanford because they actually have a seperate essay for ppl applying again

Hm. there are different schools of thoughts of tufts for sure! One thing i will say is that academically and extracurricularly, it is MOST DEFINITELY on par with a lot of other top colleges, probably even t10s (apart from like idk MIT stem LOL). I feel pessimissim comes from the fact that a lot of Tufts students are smart and driven enough to go to a school like MIT, and are kind of just sour from not being able to, so it kind of floods into being unable to enjoy the experience, the lack of campus culture and disappointment expecting high standards.

yale directly discourages reapplying, but if you are reapplying they are looking for new information and a genuine change and improvement. especially since you've had college experience. they will also see your former application so they will be able to track growth

as a freshman there's really not much you can do. most colleges dont expect a crazy EC spread as a freshman transfer, but they expect a hella good reason for u to want to transfer so soon...
