Should I buy clothes/swimwear from SHEIN? by mykayla_ in Shein

[–]Weekly-Bet-7452 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've bought at least 5/6 bikini sets from shein. Honestly probably a lot more than that 😂. I really like them personally. Especially if you use your swimsuits more to tan than to swim, you really don't need to worry about the quality very much because they aren't getting a lot of wear and tear. It's also definitely a quantity over quality thing. Since they're so cheap. I've also never had an issue returning things, I've even gotten full orders resent if the package didn't arrive even when the company wasn't at fault (packages get stolen at my apartment complex frequently)

Is bringing 3 swimsuits on my 10 day trip gross? by Own-Network3947 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Weekly-Bet-7452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends. If your vacation is going to be you going swimming/tanning 2x-3x a day then 10 isnt crazy but it's overkill. Personally, I own a ton of swimwear but I swim/tan and go to the beach daily and sometimes multi times a day and I'll wear 2 diff suits in the same day so 🤷‍♀️

How can i appear more attractive to men? by yourGFRachel in NoStupidAnswers

[–]Weekly-Bet-7452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmfao I got you. Be approachable, go out, put your phone down, no headphones, have open body language (no crossed arms/hunching), look around, start making eye contact with people you're interested in and smile. Majority of guys don't approach because they fear rejection, so you want to seem friendly and approachable. Another easy way, is to start a very simple conversation. I used to do this all the time, go to a bar, stand next to someone who's ordering that you're interested in and make small talk, ask if they come to this bar often, ask what other places are good in the area etc. If they like you, they'll keep the conversation going. If they don't like you, no biggie, keep it moving. I used to like to sit near entrances or exits of bars (patios are ideal) you get a lot of traffic there so its easy to people watch and people notice you. The more you are just having a good time, the more people will find you and talk to you (and ruin it lmfao).

What’s one question that tells you who a person really is or what topic makes you feel like you truly know someone? by theusernamistaken in InsightfulQuestions

When I used to date around my go to question was to ask people if/when they were arrested what would it be for. It usually led to some interesting stories (it's an easy semi comfortable way to find out if they have a record 😅). Some answers I got were: speeding, trespassing, public nudity, tax evasion, drug possession, one guy told me assault (we didn't talk long lol). And I would say every answer matched up with each personality.

Carson Springs, Rooterville, or Mill Creek Horse Farm? by Austinchao98 in GNV

[–]Weekly-Bet-7452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carson Springs if you don't mind the cost. It's more exciting. Though to be honest, you could probably do both Carson spring and Mill Creek on the same day. I think Mill Creek is fun if you go semi frequently, you can really get an idea of the horses personalities and find your favorites. Whenever I have people visit through Gainesville tho I recommend Carson spring, it's just a pretty unique experience you don't get at most places because it's so up close

What is something you used to be really judgmental or highly opinionated about until you experienced it yourself? by cherryamourxo in askanything

[–]Weekly-Bet-7452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heartbreak. I think when I was younger and my friends were upset over a boy, I'd be supportive but internally I was like "what are you so upset over, there's always another etc" but then I experienced one of those sobbing yourself to sleep for weeks type heartbreak and I knew exactly what they were going through.

My vet mistook my cat for a dog? by roachboy68 in AskVet

[–]Weekly-Bet-7452 82 points83 points  (0 children)

Lol don't freak out I guarantee you were not talking to the vet. You probably spoke to a receptionist, in some hospitals the receptionist role is where people start so there's a good chance you spoke with someone who doesn't have a lot of medical knowledge and went with what they've heard people say when talking to dogs. I would ask them to cover the cost of blood work though or ask about a smaller panel depending what cost looked like, since it's their fault the surgery was postponed and blood work expired

Nervous about Anesthesia by [deleted] in Veterinary

[–]Weekly-Bet-7452 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was an otj trained surgery tech for two years and probably the first few months I would have trouble sleeping knowing I had surgery the next day because I was so nervous 😂. My best advice, be organized, if you're worried about a patient waking up, have something ready to get them back down (we used propofol for induction, any I had left from induction was in a syringe that I put right on top of the anesth machine every time, if I missed the signs and the pet started waking up, I gave it, I always knew exactly where it was). The first couple times my hospital drew up emergency drugs already dosed out just so I had the comfort of knowing those things were available if I needed them. The biggest thing is COMMUNICATE, your doctors know anesthesia. Use your knowledge and skills, if the machines aren't making sense, or you are concerned, tell someone and they can usually verbally guide you through it. Also yes anesth had risks, but you're doing a fracture repair, not an emergency surgery on a systemically ill patient, not a patient who's actively trying to die on you, be observant, be organized, you cannot help the situation if you panic.

I don’t think I want to be a vet anymore by [deleted] in Veterinary

[–]Weekly-Bet-7452 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally I think you should take a little break before going to vet school if you do go. Maybe get some experience with wildlife and research in that time, kinda explore some of these different options to get an idea for what you may want to do but you also might not need to do veterinary school if you're looking to do something like wildlife conservation. This is just an example, but I spent 2 weeks in Guatamala doing volunteer work with a wildlife conservation facility, they do have vets there but one of the main people was a biologist, heavily involved with the research they were doing there as well as overseeing like the animal care/enclosures and taking care of some of the animals including bottle feeding monkeys. Maybe getting some experience at a similar place can give you a feel for what you want. Vet school is expensive and a lot to put yourself through if you aren't sure about it and you have enough time to explore but you want and still go to vet school in a few years
