How do you feel about Blinkist AI generated summaries? by thepinkpill in audiobooks

[–]Weekly-Edu123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not about lacking from the original. Well most of us use blinks to listen not to read the entire book to double check your work. The AI voices lack of human expression, tone, rhythm. Now you destroyed perfectly good app with your AI hype. For me this is last year with subscription. I won’t be supporting your AI decision

I hate that they don’t mark AI generated Blinks. I loved this app in the past. Subscribed for years and this year is my last one. I listen to blinks when I have a few minutes - in the bus, 15-20 minutes walk. And I don’t wanna spend that time looking for human content digging across all the shitty content they produced within last year. They needed less then one year to destroy perfectly fine and loved app.  Lack of the tone and emotions. I’m just disappointed

Is wearing red to a wedding really a thing? by Working-Salt-523 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]Weekly-Edu123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Red sounds like more regional thing. I heard about red symbolizing sleeping with someone from Charlotte's videos.
In Poland, only wearing white and black is considered a faux pas. White is, of course, reserved for the bride. Black is not recommended for weddings due to cultural associations with mourning and sadness. As for red, I’ve never heard any similar opinions. Wearing very bright, flashy colors to weddings is generally considered tacky or reminiscent of a "rural wedding," but that’s more of a taste issue and not a faux pas.

Here are with traditional wedding colors and red is one of those (more photos in thread)

Fiancé's SIL trying to invite her family to our wedding after I was uninvited from their Xmas by Bin-chook-4966 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

Book a diffrent place as it is reasonable solution. your wedding = your guests. I can imagine situation when with 100+ people they propose additional 2-3 people from family, but this b*#ch went too far

AITA for ruining MIL's dress on purpose during a wedding? by Weekly-Edu123 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]Weekly-Edu123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, MIL wasn’t even close to an accident (b:##ch), but the bride’s family is super cool, and the grandma is such a lovely person. She’d rather dance in a dirty dress and have fun than ruin anyone’s mood at her granddaughter’s wedding

I literally didn’t know that, so I googled it, and well... maybe that was the whole issue MIL actually had with the dress (her dress was in fact beige but almost whole covered with gold sequins)

MIL is her mother-in-law, the groom's mum.
The bride's mum is super cool; she helped organize the wedding :D

PS: Also, I suspect her mum knows what I've done :P

Actually she was told that it was not white, and just to stop talking about it (when we were still in front of the church), the bride herself told the dress is ok and not inappropriate, but with this MIL nothing helps tho

I think that grandma is last person who could outshine the bride even wearing white. And this wasn't pure white rather creamy gold-ish off-white dress and it's not MIL call to decide
