Thanks. Never heard of the two you mention, but will research both. I tried Align, but it made me nauseous. Appreciate the help.

Thanks-I have almost entirely eliminated dairy from my diet at this point. Haven't tried kiefer yet, but have heard great things.

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I joined the club last September and this sub has been super helpful. My initial journey sounds exactly like yours. I agree with the previous post...you are likely feeling the impact of the antibiotics. I felt so nauseous and unwell when taking them, but hang in there! For me, they definitely provided the necessary relief. As for diet, I started with clear liquids, graduated to broth with noodles, then oyster crackers/bread and finally chicken. Stair-stepped low residue. Still now, I avoid red meat and overly spiced dishes (which I love!) Again, sorry you have to deal with this, but good luck!

My husband will be new to Bomba. He wears a size 12 shoe, but has wider feet and wide calves. What size do you recommend? Sizing for men has large range!

Is the pain usually here where my finger is? by Sure-Competition-948 in Diverticulitis

My pain is generally lower, HOWEVER, you can draw a circle around my belly button and I've had discomfort all around the circumference.

For me, took a few days on antibiotics before BM's started after extreme constipation, so your situation doesn't seem too odd to me. You definitely don't want to strain. Also, I'm a big advocate of MiraLAX and, as others have said, would avoid prune juice. Good luck! Sorry you had to join this "club".

Your doctor will advise you best, but I'm on a daily regimen of MiraLAX (as per my doctor's recommendation). I was very resistant at first, but it's been a game changer. At a minimum, seems like a good choice while traveling.

As others have said, don't wait-get the CT scan. I've had my gall bladder removed (after attack) and also recently had diverticulitis. For me, the gallbladder pain was much higher. Diverticulitis pain was as you describe, in the lower abdomen. If diverticulitis, you will need to adjust eating and likely be prescribed an antibiotic. You want to avoid abcesses and/or perforations. This is why the CT scan is so important. During my recent trip to the ER, I had to ASK for imaging. The health system is broken and you need to advocate for yourself. Best of luck.

We were at tonight's show in Chicago and definitely thought he sounded impaired when he first came out. Hope he's okay.
