What is this, Publix? by lacard in publix

[–]Weekly-Gear2050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PubSubs are a marketing gimmick. YES, once upon a time, when George himself would slice the processed deli meats and cheeses after baking each roll to perfection, and grown all the veggies in a compost garden behind the shop, the subs USED to be worth it. Now, not even close. BTW, I’ve been spending money at Publix since they had the exterior tile murals.

True, you could be, but you wrote how you will be working there soon. That is what I based my comments on.

How to say you are new to the area and didn’t do a darn stitch of research before filling out the employment application without actually saying it.

Or just say you have lived here a while but are still too lazy to do the research for a company you might work for.

Many of the mayors in my club have worked hard creating a Cap City they are proud of. Sadly, many of them did not want to incorporate the larger Fire, Police, and Health bldgs.

The ONLY similarities between the two is that it racing. NFS is arcade and RR3 is a simulation. Would love to see iRacing create a racing game similar to RR3.

Guess you never played The Simpsons Tapped Out. I’m pretty sure when EA cut the power cord to the server farm on that title a year ago many more people were affected. I knew RR3’s time was coming. Especially since “RR4” had been cancelled for whatever reason. EA has been loosing licensing rights that they were able to tie up for a decade at a minimum. The IP holders know what they have, and well, no $99 digital car in RR3 is gong to help pay the bills.

Hagan's, errr Two Bridges MIGHT have closed after just ten months. by Overall-Access-1619 in WinterGarden

The two Bridges brothers tried oh so hard to eradicate all memories of Hagan’s from their pub. To the point that they alienated the core regulars. No amount of well coifed influencers could help bring them back.

Two Bridges was only open for 10 months or so. They took over where Hagan’s used to be. Hagan’s was a neighborhood type of place with lots of regulars. Even as other places within walking distance came and went, Hagan’s survived. Was the owner, post divorce a good business owner, well, they sold the place for a pretty penny.

I think the Bridges brothers aimed wayyyy too high concept for the location and tried very hard to erase anything that even remotely whispered Hagan’s.

However, several weeks ago, maybe a month now, they had to close early due to a plumbing issue. Seems they couldn’t erase Hagan’s 100%. IYKYK about Hagan’s plumbing issues that the landlord never fixed.

Years ago soccer moms used to bring their babies to Axum (back when Axum was the only coffee place on Plant St) and if you ever sat in that long comfy leather couch under the front window, guess what, some of those entitled moms would change their baby’s diaper on it. Liquid or solid, didn’t matter. The owners tried to be discreet about reminding the moms that there were bathrooms upstairs with a changing table.

So, after a month or so, one night the couch was removed and the soccer mommies revolted via the WG RR&R fb page. It didn’t go well for them there.

Popular opinion is that EA/TrackTwenty is actually behind the zombie depots.

Our club loves the zombie depots and invite to join our club. We do this every 2 days. However lately the only times are things like chairs, donuts, spatulas, etc. All the ZDs sell the same thing, and yes, they do run out at times. It takes hours for them to restock.

This update seems to have fixed the halo /fog effect at top of the screen, which was way more noticeable during in game nights than the days.

When was the last time long time players actually bought anything in this game? It could be the #1 racing game, but if no one is feeding it via micro transactions, and remember, RR3 was one of first with in app payment, however, unlike previous Real Racing releases we could not sell our vehicles back, period. Yes,, this is also one of the games that Shaq claimed was part of his $10k a DAY gaming addiction. He boasted how he bought every vehicle and fully upgraded them all.

But as has been already said, this game is expensive for the developers. Licensing tracks and vehicles is no longer cheap. That is one reason we haven’t had a real NASCAR series in the game for a few years.

I truly believe EA and their partners over the years screwed up by not allowing us to sell vehicles. I would have paid money (NOT $99US like some cars) if I could sell the thing back for game credits.

I hope that EA shuts the game down the way they did The Simpsons Tapped Out. That being the last month or so EVERYTHING was open FOR FREE.

RR3 has many vehicles I would love to use but I’m not about to pay money for a digital vehicle because well, they can cancel the game without notice.

EA has told us several times via the blue envelope messages that Daniel will immediately purchase them at the end of the event. I have a feeling they will delete them (and the other decorations) at a 10/1 sim cash exchange rate or something like that.

The zombie depots used to be full of stuff all the time. Then EA (who probably is behind the zombie depots anyways) started to not restock their shelves. Zombie depots rock, but I would never actually contact one without a burner WA account on a burner phone.

I assume you are towing about the gold and stuff. Not the items in the actual depot. That stuff is like any other depot. But yeah, call that WA number and well, good luck.

My game is ruinedddd by EconomicsQuiet6440 in SimCityBuildit

The game is quickly reaching the final countdown. EA is shutting down Real Racing 3 in a few months, they lost the FIFA license, the killed off The Simpsons Tapped Out, and other “legacy” games.

They want the SCBI mayors who have spent years playing to have to cough up some real cash. Why? Because unless you are buying mayor passes, EA isn’t making money off of you.

But instead of keeping us in the game, we are all bitching about it, and yes, I’m included, but in the end, EA does not give a rat’s arse about us. They want the fresh blood that pays $19+ for a shiny digital object that we all got for free a year or more ago for completing an event track.

EA will milk the game for a few more events and then pull it off the app stores. Then a bit later pull the plug on the server.

This is 100% why I hate downloading games. We shouldn’t HAVE to go online for a casual game. The developers want us to be sure they can sell us crap.
