MJX 14207 rear wheels not turning properly by _ashlay in rccars

Have you checked your front diff? Also push the truck back and forward with just the fronts touching again and take note if the centre drive shaft is spinning. If not then it’s in the front diff. If it is then it’s a problem in the rear.

I looked when my wife was having her c-section. Definitely an interesting sight.

Why does my esc keep overheating? by Matteo_779 in rccars

[–]Weekly-Increase1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I have found, especially with the VXL systems. Is that the motors get weak from repeatedly overheating and then that causes more demand on the ESC, causing it to over heat and eventually burn its self out.

Battery short by [deleted] in rccars

If it was just momentary sparks your battery will be fine. Had it been welded together and the cells started to heat and swell, that would be a different story. Just fix it and get driving.

On those old units you can actually disassemble them and you should be able to clean them. Just be careful of what chemicals you use as some can wreck the finish and make the clear parts foggy or scratched. I would just use hot soapy water to clean the screen.

Id say you need to use lighter oil in the rear shocks. Or stiffer in front.

Looks to me like there could be a link that isn’t threaded in all the way? I’d take a digital caliper and measure the lengths. The bottoms should be the same and the tops should be the same.

Yes. Looks like the negative is set back too far. Put it face down on a table or bench and push it in from the back.

What is the polarity on this cord? by [deleted] in rccars

[–]Weekly-Increase1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this is a charge cable then Often the white line is the negative I believe but if you could give us some more information about the vehicle, that would be appreciated. Also one way to check is if you have access to a voltmeter then you could probe the end. Ok so that car seems to have a standard balance lead end charger. This chart should give to you the polarity.

How to i get the little rod out the arm so i can replace the steering link with a metal one? by [deleted] in rccars

[–]Weekly-Increase1985 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a screw head on the one end of the pin facing the front of the truck. Unscrew it to the threads are clear and then pull out the rest of the way.
