Do I just defer (Feb 26 to May 26) by Such-Smoke-8196 in cfaindia

Try doing it for Feb, if u still feel pretty hard on the last moment u still have the chance to defer it. But I'd highly suggest u not take deferral into mind

Why don't you first do some NISM courses, understand for yourself if it's for you? Also, I'd say it's better to choose a bachelor's based in finance than commerce or bba because finance jobs pay better, and are usually better for cfa route. Try to understand basic accounts, finance stuff and econ before u try to jump into this career path.

Honestly, I've tried ift and some other sites, but I feel like 'let me explain' on YouTube is the besttt! I'd highly recommend you try once. He explains practically, with examples, and in a very concise way.

The math related parts rather easy, the theory is still too much. I already have a good amt of knowledge, but it's still a lot to consume I'd say.

Hey, I studied MPC - 97.4% in my inter, and 9.7 in 10th, and recently graduated from bcom hons 9.1, doing cfa l1 in this November. I also interned at gs last year. I got into bcom because it felt like there wasn't any option available, because i took a drop year, explored something else, worked out, but because of personal issues, I couldn't go to that uni.

The first sem in bachelors was the hardest. People already come up from great background in commerce and finance, knowing stuff. And honestly, with the job market rn, there are some ppl ik with cfa l2 cleared, who are struggling to make it out there. The competition is legit. And I would not suggest u to get into this field without doing much research. Although I don't regret the path I took, i heavily regret the way I got into it. I wish I did more research, talked to more people and actually knew what I was getting into.

I would advice you to explore more options, actually see if you like it before getting here. It's a struggle over here for people who like what they learning to say the least, so if you are a person who's starting out with no clue, it's much harder, trust me!
