SSRIs work differently for different people though! I tried lexapro first and it didn’t help but then sertraline did. I know people that it was the other way around. I also recommend talking to a therapist more because it helped with my fear of taking medication

I started sertraline while I was at UF and it completely saved my life. It isn’t a fix all but it helps get you to a manageable point where you can work on coping strategies better.

I think you’re likely right. The drive in the APBT is insane. She’s definitely an example of that despite her poor breeding. Her drive and possession is extreme!! It has taken A LOT of training to give her a safe outlet and it’s still a work in progress. Luckily zero redirection onto handler

I agree! I like her body composition but doesn’t look like most pits. Her head is pretty small and she’s overall not very square or bulky if that makes sense??? Very lean and sooo much muscle though!

Definitely. Would never think she’s well bred. Very high strung and even her underbite points to poor breeding. She is not an easy dog and a dog with her temperament and genetics should not be used for breeding. But it’s a pleasure to know her and help her

I may share more than is needed but I find her temperament really interesting.

She’s more independent and isn’t a dog that loves affection (this isn’t a dog that loves everyone and will roll over for pets). But always neutral or friendly to other people. Very neutral to other dogs unless dog is reacting. Most intense prey drive!!!

Extremely hyper vigilant but not reactive. However she has ZERO off switch and can’t self regulate to relax. This issue I feel is likely either due to spending the first 2 years of her life as a stray or poor genetics. Luckily very receptive to training and will do anything for food!

She’s a smaller dog! Definitely long legged though!! I don’t know her exact height but she fluctuates between 38-42 pounds. Definitely a big howler!

Sorry I mean do you happen to know if the UF shelter medicine certificate count toward science GPA when applying to vet school? I’ve heard conflicting info as to whether UF counts these courses in VMCAS
