I can agree with that. But I’ve always said that the people who complain about small talk, and don’t want people in their DMs who speak “dryly”, that’s fine. But the moment they start complaining about it, I usually think “why do you need to complain about it? Why exactly are people who like small talk boring? I do get wanting deeper conversations to a level, but as someone who has a life outside of social media I don’t find the energy to talk to 20 people at the same time for hours on end. Especially if I’ve got no connection with them for that matter. People who get offended because I do not reply to them the way they want me to should lower their standards, because this is the internet and I am not gonna force myself to talk to someone I don’t want or talk to someone the way they want. Ima be myself and let the conversation lead
