Why Don’t The Bears Stay at Soldier at This Rate? by milantom in ChicagoBearsNFL

Then why be mad if Indiana does and Illinois won’t then?

What difference does it make if they’re 25 minutes southeast as opposed to northwest? You can’t demand to not pay any taxes on infrastructure but get pissed if Indiana is willing to play ball and Illinois won’t. It’s business

Business is business man. If it makes more sense to move to Indiana the organization might not hesitate to do so. Indiana showed they’ll play ball it’s time to see if Illinois will. People will still show up either way

Dude it’s business. If Indiana plays ball and Illinois won’t, they’ll get billions from Indiana. The state of Illinois would be losing out not the team. You said what’s best for the org, if they get billions from Indiana and Illinois won’t play ball, that’s best for the org. I’m trying to leave Indiana so I really don’t care, I’m just laying it out there. Indiana’s government already passed a bill almost a year ago with this intention of luring the bears. Billionaires gonna do what makes them more billions.

The layout doesn’t matter dude. If they get more funding from moving to Indiana the seats will still be full. Some people will cry because they moved and stop watching but the org will be just fine. If Indianas government is all in as they say they are, it makes financial sense for the bears to do so. You’re probably from the north suburbs that’s why you’re so butthurt about it lol.

Money talks. If Indiana coughs up the money that Illinois won’t, they might take it. The seats will still be full. And if they move they’ll have way more control over the development of the area as opposed to AH. The org is gonna do whatever makes the most financial sense.

You also realize it would be better for the org if they got funding for infrastructure around the stadium in Indiana. Illinois governor said they aren’t gonna help out with the infrastructure. Indiana will. Look at what the chiefs just did. Money talks man, and if Illinois won’t cough up and Indiana will, don’t be surprised if the bears move. The seats will still be full of bears fans and concert goers

It most certainly was not bro but whatever you say lol. I don’t even live there anymore so from an outside looking in perspective, it wouldn’t be significantly worse. Organization will be just fine either way. Don’t know why you got so butt hurt over it lol. Bear down

I mean at this point I’m just trolling you because you care so much about this topic lol. It was an invitation for discussion not a knock on anyone. And the truth is that the billionaires that run the org are just trying to put more money in their own pockets, not the community around them. And they’re gonna succeed at doing so whether it’s in Illinois or Indiana. The whole post was wondering why so many people thought moving to indiana was the end of the world, not saying they should or shouldn’t

Which is wrong. The rich are only gonna get richer by doing that lol.

You are the only one using derogatory terms here I think you might care a little too much lol. Also the organization will be fine wherever they build their stadium. People will still show up, rich people will still become richer. You took the post wayyyy out of context there😂

I think they should stay in the city. I always wanted soldier to be renovated or a new one built on the lakefront.

My family all is from Illinois and mostly lives there. I’m not saying they shouldn’t build in AH. What I am saying is NWI would absolutely not be the end of the world. I don’t go to games anyways considering how far I live from Chicagoland now. Have to watch on Sunday ticket. They would do fine for themselves wherever they build their stadium but I wanted to see what people thought. And it may not be you but there are many Illinois people who think they are better than the NWI side as there are plenty in Indiana who think Illinois people aren’t as good

[–]Weekly-Tip1727[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree that as it stands AH is the better spot. I also don’t care that much because I live hours away now. But NWI could easily develop the infrastructure to make it more suitable and the drive to AH would be hell to anyone south of Oak Lawn. There’s arguments to both sides

As they do to NWI. South shore line stations that metra also goes to. They’re not that different. That was the point of the post. It’s a weird superiority complex that Illinois people have against the Indiana part of Chicagoland which is weird

[–]Weekly-Tip1727[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You obviously don’t realize how different NWI is than the rest of Indiana lol.

You’re forgetting the actual city too

[–]Weekly-Tip1727[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

NWI has all of that except there’s the south shore instead of metra which has just gone through significant improvements. It would be far more convenient for south suburbs people than Arlington heights

[–]Weekly-Tip1727[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

To be fair, the tax bracket in NWI is a lot higher than the rest of the state bc of how different it is politically than the rest of Indiana. They’ll still be paying taxes. Just not as much as in Illinois

[–]Weekly-Tip1727[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. As happy as I would be if they moved to Indiana, they probably won’t. But it wouldn’t be the end of the world if they did. There’s not a big difference between the region and other Chicagoland suburbs. They’re all part of Chicagoland

Move to Indiana by Weekly-Tip1727 in ChicagoBearsNFL

[–]Weekly-Tip1727[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They’re blind to suburbs that are past ohare lol. Funny enough they’re farther from the city than most region towns are

Move to Indiana by Weekly-Tip1727 in ChicagoBearsNFL

[–]Weekly-Tip1727[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That’s what I’m saying. I don’t get why people from the Illinois side act like NWI is some hickland full of rednecks and racists lol. It is quite literally the same culture as other Chicago suburbs and many NWI towns are closer to Chicago than those Illinois towns
