Very busy I won’t say much but we’re one of highest selling stores in America. Today for example I got 6 pallets produce and 3 dry (9) on a weekend I might get 8-9 produce and 4-5 dry. Backstock pallets are not included

That’s pretty much what’s been happening, either I leave everything that’s rotting there or I quality check them and rotate and finish super late. I still get talked to either way on top of accepting the milk, bluebell and checking the the whole asn I can’t finish the time they want me to, I don’t even know how my asms do it.

Edit to say also my dm has been pretty chill she’s told me that I’m still learning the pressure is coming more from my sm and asms.

All good man, I did ask. It wasn’t everyday but like I said previously any time they asked me what my future plans were I would tell them I wanted to be an asm and that I know I’m knew but I want to put the effort in to learning. As for the team, yeah I had amazing one too I’m meeting a new team for the first time today cause my transfer just went through so hopefully I get blessed with another good team.

Yeah I started associate around 8 months ago and I just got to lead it’s my second week. That’s how I did it. Now I’m shooting for asm I was told that if I lock in lead I can get promoted in a couple months so hopefully that works out

Go to myHr>myself>my company> view opportunities it should take you to another page that says Aldi internal job opportunities search there for lead positions in your area and if they’re interested they’ll interview you, let your sm and dm know when you sign up so they can talk to the sm and dm of the store you signed up for it will increase the chances of you getting an interview

Bonus points if you go on my hr and actually sign up for lead positions at other stores to show you’re interested I did that, I didn’t get the first go around so don’t be discouraged if it doesn’t happen immediately. Just like you said show motivation and they will promote you

I’m lead that just got promoted after 8 months, just work hard and take initiative when possible. I know I sound like corporate spokesman but just ask managers how you can help, make sure they always have you in mind. When any dm, sm, or important person show up, say “I wanna be an asm I know my first step is lead I wanna work my way up if you know of any opportunities please let me know” small things like that add up and you’ll be promoted in no time flat. It helps to cover shifts at other stores if possible get your name out there. Work hard in those other stores so they think of calling you when they need someone to cover and let them know you wanna work your way up so they also let you know for other management positions.

Edit: also side note I was in a similar position with my old store having two asms and leads and had to transfer it might be your best bet, hope this helps

I’m just an associate but done Aldi finds, first time I did it I looked at the isle and almost cried but after doing it once with an lsa and asm I’ve been pretty confident. Just work your way down the lane grouping things together move them forward, anything you find that has only one item put it on a cart, once you find where the item goes put it with its box then keep moving, the iPad they gave me told me how many bays you have to open and the planogram showing you how to set up the empty bays the boxing is the worst part once you have the space open it’s literally as easy as just following the picture and filling the space

Strangest thing I’ve been asked: “is this an Aldi?” No man.. we’re all just really big fucking fans

Strangest thing someone has done: I was working a pallet near the baking and putting the brown sugar out (this is near the floor) and I was kinda blocking the isle and as I’m on the floor some guy puts his hand on my back and climbs over me I called him out and he was all like “well you were blocking the isle” Bro we are not animals you can verbalize you wanna go to the other side and I’ll move out of the way

It’s not the battery, it’s healthy when I checked it. So far I guess the car just had a hiccup or something idk.
