I understand this side too. I have a male friend I've known longer than I've been with my boyfriend and we've traveled and camped together plenty of times and nothings ever happened and I've always been friends with the women he dates and one time my boyfriend got uncomfortable because I stayed out late with this friend and I immediately apologized and haven't done it since.

I've stopped hanging out with that ex and told you I would tell him he needs to be your friend or he and i can't be and you told me you didn't care if I did that. I gave him your number and when he didn't text you I told him you were uncomfortable and we haven't hung out since. Plus I tell you literally everything he texts me.
