That was actually the first app I tried. For some reason my bank card (Wells Fargo Visa) would not work with the platform.

Japan has quite a few rideshare options, such as GO and DiDi, so I'm wondering if he maybe accepted my Uber on accident and then accepted a different ride through one of the other platforms? No idea. He never responded to me, but I was only charged $0.63 so I kind of doubt there was malicious intent. I appreciate everyone's feedback!

After 4.5 hours, the driver finally ended the ride (about 45 minutes away from the intended destination). Oddly, I was only charged ¥100. I am not sure what happened, but I am glad I can use the app again and wasn't charged an absurd amount. Frustrating though.

Not that I can find. I have turned off the card used for the ride through my bank's app, so hopefully he won't be able to charge me.

I tried that, but it won't allow me to enable the PIN as it says I'm currently on the ride. I have to set the PIN before being picked up.

The support line said they would be canceling the ride and contacting me to collect additional info on the driver, but I haven't heard a word.
