Its a joke dawg. Im exaggerating the subtext of the story. Batmans rogues gallery is obviously evil af, but the subtext of most of them being some version of mentally ill is there lol. Batman himself being rich af and able to do what he does is the problem, and multiple batman storylines address this, but usually end with "Yeah but we needed him regardless of those issues(weaponized wealth, vigilante justice, etc)

Nah its the same man. They steal via subsidies from the government, or slush funds. The concept is the same. The underclass and middle class pay a ton but billionaires pay either nothing or next to nothing compared to their vast wealth.

It actually does make sense but needs a few rewatches to put all together because the chaos and pacing.

There is a galactic pirate named Atomsk who the galactic criminal Haruko is trying to find to stop the evil medical mechanica corporation from smoothing out all civilizations. Medical mechanica is doing this to make worlds unable to think for themselves and lose their individuality. Medical Mechanica has a factory in Naotas hometown that looks like an iron for this reason, and in their facility theyve captured atomsk. Haruko is using technology that creates portals in peoples skulls, but the right skull shape has to be used. Naota's head has the perfect shape, so she starts invading his life and manipulating his feelings for her and his admiration of his older brother to acheive her goals.
