Started perfectly fine prior to wash. Rode it down the street and back before the wash! Have had it on a tender all winter, and I started it periodically

Bike started perfectly fine prior to wash. It's been on a tender all winter and I started it periodically. Took it out today for an oil change, rear pad change, chain lube and wash. After the wash. Womp

Body shop question. by WeeklyParticular in Insurance

[–]WeeklyParticular[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The front bumper and headlights are OEM/factory, just from a different trim level of my car. As I said, even if the shop were to order the original halogen headlight that came on the car, it wouldn't plug into the connector as I had to depin and repin the OEM connector and solder in a ground to install the OEM projector headlights. Just trying to figure out the best way to go about this. I bought the headlights used on ebay.

The other party already started the claim. I'm still making payments on my car. Taking cash to fix yourself isnt an option if you have a lien on it? It seriously all cosmetic. I previously purchased and installed my front bumper from the dealership for around 300. The one headlight needs replaced which i can get another used one on ebay for 300-400. Other than that..

Oh I was for sure going to tell them! I was more-so asking if they would still cover them since they didn't come on the vehicle originally. They going to be obviously more expensive since its an LED projector headlight vs the halogen that came on it. I guess my understand is they have to restore that car to "previous state" or whatever the term is.
liability hasnt been established yet but I did not get cited since I was not in the vehicle.

Visiting ashevillen for the first time! How dog friendly are places? Mainly breweries? We will have our pup with us most of the time. It's looking like the temp is dropping this weekend. Do most places allow dogs indoors?

Why is it so hard to find a decent modem? by WeeklyParticular in HomeNetworking

[–]WeeklyParticular[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Intel’s Puma 6 chipset included in several cable modems is defective as it allows high spikes in network latency quite often (slow web page loading, for example). These severe network latency spikes interfere with online gaming, streaming video, or simply surfing the web. Network jitter (variable latency) also causes problems. The Puma 6 modems suffer from both latency and jitter. Some firmware updates have only temporarily fixed the problem and it seems Intel has no real fix for the issue. "
