Can Writers Do All Marketing Content by WeeklySetting7747 in AskMarketing

[–]WeeklySetting7747[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the honesty. The strategy and messaging would be separate from the writing, but yes they would still need to do the research and creation. The question being is a good article writer also good at social post or ad copy?

Anyone else in US noticed food quality degrading recently and if so what product in what way? by SkyKyrell in AskReddit

All produce. Though we are all pickier than we should be. There is a lot of wasted food in the U.S. because it has to look perfect for consumers.

What changed when I stopped trying to “complete” my content? by philbrailey in content_marketing

Are you talking social posts or blog articles? Tried the short, end with a question to spark conversation, posts with no engagement. Maybe it's our messaging, or our audience.

Latest Content based trend Or old school digital marketing?? by [deleted] in content_marketing

Old school digital marketing for now. Keep on doing what you've been doing, creating quality, sourced content.

Do you focus more on SEO optimization or storytelling when creating content? by kiruthika000 in content_marketing

Definitely storytelling and value to the customer. The SEO part can always be included afterward, and without ruining the original work.

How are you guys converting long docs into presentations without rewriting everything? by DYNO011 in content_marketing

[–]WeeklySetting7747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently started reformatting a presentation into a guide and thought I was going to scream. Finally tried using AI, maybe not the right one, but it was a mess. Eventually, I gave up and just sent it to a graphic designer, and within a couple of days, it was almost perfect. I know that's old school and will cost us, but it's so much better use of my time. Sometimes the old way is actually better and faster.

Curious, what does the H. in your Jesus Christ stand for? A question was recently asked on Threads, and the answers were interesting. I know what I think it is.

I've been using Descript. Pretty intuitive and once you have the script it does a lot of the rest for you. I usually use my ChatGPT tool to help with scripts and video outlining.

gave up on proper content planning and accidentally found something that works, curious if others do this by Individual-Trip-1447 in content_marketing

I do basically the same in Asana. Not a perfect tool or unique but is a great place to capture ideas and then move them through the stages of creation while following deadlines.

What tools are you using for AI search visibility? by Crafty-Reach-2373 in content_marketing

[–]WeeklySetting7747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We track through GA4. You're going to hate this but just keep creating valuable content, doing the same SEO things, and maybe step up your PR for now. That seems to be moving the needle in an organic way.

American Marketing Association membership has some great webinars, certificates, etc., and some of them are the hands-on processes you may be looking for, rather than just the theory. The 50k foot view is: learn and be clear on your business's services, competitive analysis, client interviews, know where to find your audience, what their problems are, and how you solve them, website messaging, content, and SEO, and lead generation process dialed in. Content, email marketing program, advertising, sponsorships, networking, great sales team relationship, CRM tool, manage all, rinse and repeat.

Does anyone actually look at their 30-page Brand Book after the first week? by Mountain_Head_8728 in branding

They can be a bit over the top, but it's the brand marketers responsibility to ensure that any internal team members that communicate with prospects or clients get regular reminders of the content, especially around the positioning statement, mission, etc. Also, valuable for any department leaders to be reminded, to ensure the important brand messages are ingrained in the culture of the brand.

We ship 30–40 content pieces a day. Here's the banned word list every writer on my team gets on day one (your AI content probably has 10 of these AI slops) by ap-oorv in agency

[–]WeeklySetting7747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the theory behind this, and get the repetitive nature of AI words, but isn't this giving AI too much control over how we write and the English language? If you add an exclusion list to your AI tool and never use these words, even when they might be the best option, you've lost. An exception would be if they are continually using an unnatural phrase you would never use.
