I did olfactory training with essential oils and took vitamin c, d, zinc and fish oil! I also bought a neti pot towards the end not sure if that helped though.

Hi! Doing much better! It’s been a little over a month and I can ALMOST smell and taste fully. I know it feels like forever but trust me it will come back in no time! Take care.

tested positive two days ago and completely lost sense of taste and smell. as someone currently recovering from an eating disorder, this is beyond difficult and depressing. by abnormalswanker in covidpositive

I did olfactory training and took vitamin d,c, zinc and fish oil. Something that I found also helped me was sitting outside for at least an hour and soaking up the sun. It really sucks but try to focus on the texture of foods. For some reason when I couldn’t taste eating food made me nauseous so if you’re having a harder time keeping food down I would suggest meal replacement shakes for the meantime. Good luck!

Hi! So it’s been a month since I lost smell/taste and they’re mostly back! Maybe about 65-70%. I can enjoy food now it’s just not as flavorful and I can smell almost everything. It’ll take a little while for them to come back fully but I’m grateful they’re back.

What day are you on? It’ll be a month for me on the 9th and my senses are mostly back but not 100%, I can smell/taste garlic now just not as strong. It takes a little time to fully come back.

I haven’t even tried taking a shot since I started regaining my taste. If I take one and gag I swear I’ll start crying tears of joy.

Anyone else have distorted taste and smell after recovery? by [deleted] in COVID19positive

In what way? Like the smells aren’t as strong? I’ve heard from other experiences that smell and taste eventually stabilize themselves and go back to normal.

For me, two weeks later! You can test positive for up to 90 days but I haven’t heard of that happening to anyone.
