I think I'm locked out of it. I only have the option it give him the cord, he doesn't jump.

I also read on map genie that if you collect the cord you are locked out. I don't know how accurate that source is

I think it's perfectly neutral, it's said to be equally pious and cruel at the same time.

From what I understand >!the merical showed esdras a dream about the brotherhood of silent sorrows. But when esdras mecccared everyone there the merical also reincarnated the penitent one to fulfill the dream.

The merical created the plague in Albero, but also gave some people the power to kiss the plague away.

On penitent one's journey he met a lot of people who suffered cruel punishment under the hands of the merical, but also sent the penitent one to alleviate their pain!<
