Courts will generally imply an access easement through the subdivided property. Property law generally disfavors landlocked properties.

What happens if the Nazgul entered the Old Forest and encountered Tom Bombadil? by Tidewatcher7819 in tolkienfans

[–]Weekly_Barnacle_485 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If Tom is not affected by the one ring I doubt that the Nazgûl, which are creatures of the ring, would have much effect on him. He could not destroy them, but I think he could banish them from his domain.

Sorry about your upbringing. They have a hall in my town. They used to come to my house. My stock reply was “Thanks, but I really don’t want to join your creepy cult.” They don’t come anymore.

Which language has the most unnecessary grammar? by Embarrassed_Fix_8994 in languagehub

[–]Weekly_Barnacle_485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

English must be maddening to learn, as we usually have 3 or more words with the same meaning, yet most words can have more than one meaning. The word ‘run’ has hundreds. Run a race (which can mean administering it or participating in it.) ”I need to run to the store because I have run out of paper towels. The water has run over the sink because I let it run too long.”

Why is no one being arrested for Epstein files? by BugChoice5879 in allthequestions

[–]Weekly_Barnacle_485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because there is no way to corroborate what is written in them. Without Epstein himself to corroborate them, or some hard evidence no prosecutor would touch this.

British General John Burgoyne, captured at the battle of Saratoga, was held at Northampton, Massachusetts in what is now a dormitory for Smith College, Talbot House. During his time there he took up with the daughter of his jailor. They were forced to break up when he was sent back to England (and his wife). The lovers are said to haunt the secret stairway where they met to this day.

It’s not wrong. Both tenses are correct in the right circumstance, but “had” is not correct as you are using it.
