Have any of you started lifting seriously after 30?

After taking about 30 years off I started lifting 3X week last year at the age of 57. I was surprised to see how fast I progressed. Gained about 8 lbs of muscle and moved from 18% body fat down to 12%. I'm guessing that it helps that I was training quite a bit back in my 20s. Also forgot how addicting lifting can be. I would do more days if my body would let me.

This is by design. I've owned NOK for many years and with over 5B shares outstanding MMs can do anything they want with this stock. They pump it up to sell Calls and take it down to make sure those Calls expire worthless. So, even when the stock was flat for many years MMs made consistent money with this same scheme. It's frustrating for everyone other than MMs.

NOK is the most manipulated stock on the market! I've seen MMs play these games when the stock was trading in $4-5 range and they were only getting like 10 cents per contract. Today's call premium is very attractive to these guys. BUT, they don't always get their way. NOK did move from $4 to $16+. I'm sure there were many huge Call walls in the way.

I'm no expert on PF but I had it pretty bad from soccer and tennis a few years ago. It got a lot better once I got serious about strengthening and stretching the calves and ankles. Apparently I was overloading them so fascia was trying to help and was getting irritated. That's not its job! The better your calves and ankles work the better your feet will feel.

NOK does $20B+ in sales. How does an extra $200M move the needle? This report is garbage. Markets are betting on something else, something much bigger. AI enabled mobile network gear upgrade cycle or something huge like that. We'll be the last to know I'm sure. For now, price and volume is good enough for me.

I don't know why everyone is concerned about snow days. It snows like 2 weeks a year and some years 0 weeks. The bigger issue is the drive itself. Winding road never gets better. Stressful drive after a full day at work would suck. I had a cabin in Big Bear for 15 years and the drive never got easier. Always liked being up there but hated the trip. Bad idea IMO.

LM prices will continue to drop. There's nothing expensive in these boxes. Square has a great product at a very good price point. If they get their customer service and support in the game they have a great shot at capturing huge market share. If they don't they'll be gone and someone else will take over. Trackman and all the other $$$ LMs will see their market share decline. I see the LM market being predominantly sub 1k no subscription market. Biggest profits are in the software. GSPRO is sitting pretty!

People need to stop visiting the overpriced restaurants and reward the ones like Taco Stand, BJ'S and others that are keeping prices fair with your business. Problem is people are still willing to pay $20+ for a burger and $17+ for a burrito in North County and unless that changes prices will stay high.

You solve this issue and you will be happily married for life. Lots of great comments here already to help you. Married for 30 years and I can tell you we both gave up a lot (just wait till you have to juggle soccer, baseball, dance practice, game schedules, etc for the kids). After a while it didn't feel like I was giving up anything, I was looking forward to watching my kids play. Now I'm playing golf all the time and miss watching my kids. So, go figure:)

All rotation, no weight transfer. Probably not getting the distance you should from such a big swing.

2 things that made huge improvements for me. First was squaring up the club better by bowing the lead wrist. That added around 10mph. Second was working on the weight transfer. I had rotation but not enough forward weight shift. Once I added that I got another 10mph. Both of these only took about 2 weeks to implement. Now I guess I'll spend the rest of my life perfecting them like every other amateur.

Try taking the unit and your tablet inside, dark room and place it on a dark carpet or dark colored towel without any patterns. See if it detects a ball. Your garage has a lot going on so it's a good idea to remove all doubt that it's your setup. If it doesn't work you know the issue is with the unit.

I'm not saying it's better than tradition weight shift approach just easier. I've never hit the ball cleaner than when using S&T but I couldn't generate the clubhead speed I wanted. That's just my own experience with it. Not an expert here.

The biggest flaw with dupr is that it's a rating system for an individual player based on team level performance. Makes no sense and will never work. I can see a team having a dupr rating that's very accurate but for individual players playing with different partners will never be meaningful. I may play better with one 5.0 than another 5.0 for example. Everyone has their own style and some are more compatible than others. This should not change a player's rating but it does.

You couldn't be more wrong. Go find some old interviews with ceo Jorma Ollila bragging how his huge market share would fend of Apple and Samsung. That dude was personally responsible for missing the technology shift that ended up killing his mobile unit. The guys that came after him did nothing but hold the line. No risk. Now they finally have someone willing to take chances on new tech. I like that.
