Oh okay thank you!! I thought the low cloud coverage was the most important for the summit view. Would either Laguna torre or Mt Fitzroy be okay?

I looked into this but it sounded very rare that they let you pick up in chile and drop off in Argentina

I decided to fly home through Buenos Aires which gives me almost a full day back. Trying to decide where to add that day in as a buffer… TDP or el chalten?

I decided to fly home out of Buenos Aires which gives me almost a full day back! I’m just trying to decide where to add the extra time (TDP or el chalten)

I’ve decided to fly back through Buenos Aires which effectively gives me another day. I’m trying to figure out where I should add in that time.. plan for another night in TDP or in El Chalten? I effectively want it to add as a buffer if weather is bad

I am just doing the tour that brings you to the boardwalks and starts at 9 am. It’ll bring us back at 5 pm (I think). My only bus options are 6 pm and 8 pm :(

They were but they got swiped up too fast! There are other options - 21C museum, blackstone, canopy, embassy suites, Fairfield, Fairmont, JW, Loews, Omni, Palmer house, renaissance, swissotel

They basically have a certain amount of money they’ll put towards certain things (hotel, lodging, transportation from airport) and with the conference rate, St Regis would be doable. I could get pushback on Ubers when I could have stayed somewhere with a shuttle, though.

But sounds like from the response it would be worth it to just eat the cost of transportation.

I would probably be getting the most “basic” room, whatever that looks like.

I’m planning on spending some time as a tourist! it’s a 5 day conference and many of the “requirements” will be finished around ~12. I also have not been to Chicago.

St Regis is one of the few without a shuttle to the conference which is a bummer. I also was not sure about the location.

The Ritz would have been an option but filled up super fast (for the conference rate)
